And I have no problem at all with that.

But you know what you are doing. The problem is those who only think they do.

I do, very occasionally, use a mech but for me they are more trouble than they are worth most of the time.

Others differ though.

As long as folks are aware of what can happen and how to prevent it happening. And what to do if it happens anyway.

And have a handy fountain nearby Tongue

Madrid is good for fountains BTW Big Grin

But moving to a horribly high crime and expensive (by Spanish standards) city is a lot of effort...

But I don't think you would recommend a mech to a newbie vaper these days Paul.

Tough question. The shops here that sell decent mechs are very careful about who they sell them to. The problem is any idiot can buy a mech on ebay or on Facebook. And people sell sell ridiculous coils for mechs. Does not make them more inherently dangerous than a triple battery regulated though or a PWM. Battery safety and a modicum of sense go a long way. I see too many people incapable or just damn too lazy to clean and maintain their equipment.

I could say power tools should never be used by a newbie as well. You can hurt yourself pretty easily with power tools. I would wager that more people injure themselves with power tools, soldering, blow torches, etc., then with vapes.

Thing is there is a first time for everyone. Trick is to do your research before using a mech. Know how they function. Know their maintenace. Know how batteries maintain their integrity under load.

And yes, i have used a fountain. I believe Fatboy had to throw a regulated device out the back door into a snowbank once, lol. Canadians, eh.

No wager required more people do get injured with power tools than vapes per year but such a story very rarely becomes a headline.
