RE: Cotton Questions
I use rayon, simply because I have most of a 500' roll that cost around $20. It's good and easy to work with, and length is never a problem since it's all in a long spool. I might get some of that cotton from Amazon though, that's a good price and I did like the cotton pads I tried in the past.

RE: Cotton Questions
In Argentina many people use sterile gauze pads. Because must be inert and neutral pure cotton by regulations and no bad taste since first hit. I taken some pictures of organic cotton compared with a gauze pad with an electronic microscope and can tell you is pretty dirty

I hope you can see the pictures

I used to use both rayon and silicone. Also mesh of course. I'm too lazy now to mess with mesh. I actually like silicone in small MTL attys.

I dont know how is in your country. In my country medical grade sterile gauze is 99,8% cotton without any dye or chemical products, just pure celulose

RE: Cotton Questions
Gauze is nothing like yarn as far as I know. Completely different material isn't it?
