I'm taking all the credit for the twisted wrap fc  Tongue

tbh some guy on YouTube beat me by 21 days. Mine were better though I-m_so_happy
There's a paulS exclusive here too, twisted cores with twisted wraps, zipper over zipper fc. Now those were a first King

This is hilarious as when I was reading it the first time I thought the post was made by TW for some reason.... Smile

Okay - EDIT - very impressive Gently - I must have missed it in your post where you mentioned that wrap in your built coils message Smile

Yup I'll readily admit to stealing the idea from Mike. Mine are better though Tongue JK Mike's coils kick my coils' ass.

I wouldn't call that a twisted clapton though. A twisted clapton would be two claptons twisted together. I guess this would be a twisted wrapped FC, but that's not as catchy a name.

RE: what coils have you built ?
It has, think paulS did one not long back. I tried to do a fc as a wrap, couldn't get the kind of length needed.

I imagine you'd need about a mile of wire. And the coils would end up weighing more than the mod.

And might need the first dripper that took a litre at a time.

RE: what coils have you built ?
im thinking a 38/40 single core around d 2 lengthl of 28g , but yea near 20' or 40g on 4' of 38 to build a 1' length if not more .
yea in the end the coils would be costly , but the flavor i imagine would be unparelleled

RE: what coils have you built ?
I have built many claptons and fused claptons but just haven't found that great flavor everyone is talking about. Seem to take too long to heat up and then still don't get the flavor. Am I doing something wrong

RE: what coils have you built ?
You must be, parallels should have the fastest ramp up of all coils!  Dual 24-26g cores and 38 wrap is my go to, 5 3mm wraps ~.12
Single claptons are slower to get going but a 24/38 5 wrap clapton makes good flavour too.

Did the coils I sent you have slow ramp up?! There'll be a power source problem if they did!

RE: what coils have you built ?
They're great flavour for the wattage they sustain, compared pound for pound fc's out perform nearly everything else. The few exceptions like staple coils for example are much harder to make well.
