That's something I've been wanting to do with mine as well, Gords.  What did you use so the switch contact is able to reach the battery tube?

Magnetic battery spacer from intl-outdoor.com and an m6 flat washer to give a nice throw, selection of 3mm wall o rings to prevent magnetic spacer from moving around and shorting out. Its a worthwhile mod imo purely from a function point of view.

I think I have an idea what you did but is there a chance you could take a pic of what you have in there so I totally get it? Big Grin

I've heard some say they put a 2-stack of copper pennies with tape around the edges to insulate them from the grounded walls but that is a bit too ghetto even for me Tongue

I used three orings in total. Two for the switch area and one on thr 18650 tube to make up the gap, a beuty ring if you like.

Oh and damm you. I had to drop a cell in and vape like a sir.....

RE: what are you vaping today?
Pair of washers, DX battery magnet between them, suitable O ring round the outside of the washers. Tried a UK penny, they are a perfect fit but it turned into an auto fire device.

Hitting the old Whammy Box today, dual coil setup, can't remember the topper V something or other. Vaping, Cinnamon, cherry, NET.

Got another new shiny toy today. This is a Welsh Twang Slinger. First actually "new" guitar I have bought in years. I used to sell up to 120 guitars a month but they were 2nds and "used" guitars. I was one of the guys on evil bay selling refurbished guitars for about 8 years or so. Great money, then the bottom dropped out. I also sold vintage and collectible guitars.

I think I'm down to about 15 guitars now.

If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?

RE: what are you vaping today?
Set it up last night.  It's PERFECT!  This is the way the hammer was meant to be when not running 18350 cells!

Took some measurements and found I needed a 3mm thick spacer.  Found two full copper pennies and cleaned them up before brazing the two together -3mm copper spacer.  Then I dremeled an o-ring groove around the perimeter.  I painted the edge of the spacer with nail polish to ensure it was electrically insulated on the edge then put an o-ring into the groove.  The O-ringed pennies fit snug inside the hammer with no looseness at all.  Threaded the switch into the top cap hole and bam!  Switch seats perfectly against the opening ledge and the delrin of the switch presses perfectly against the copper.  The switch has about 1mm of travel and works a treat!

Fits perfectly in the hand and still stands solidly.  Nice thing is I don't have to worry about scratching up any of the engraving when I stand it up.  Thanks for inspiring me to get around to doing the mod. Wink
