RE: vaping like gandalf
But enough of these wimpy power supplies!

This one claims 450A at 12V (That'll be right, probably about 9V by then) so let's call it the 4kW vape. Pretty good chance of getting nichrome vapour and iron vapour too.

Note the innovative arcy sparky switch for extra vaping pleasure.

That poor Genesis really is having a bad day today Sad

No cruelty to atomisers here - I removed the wick and coil first...

The Ultimate mech mod - fill it with 6 good 8000 mAh NiMH cells you'd have around 8V charged and 20A capability - or about 150W into the juice. Stuff yer 20 watts! Smile

You'd need a bigger atty though - about a gallon capacity ought to be just fine. That little Genesis on the end of it would rapidly melt I suspect. You already have a momentary switch good up to 10 or so amps (for the older ones, the newer ones are only good to about 4A. That usually has an ROP high bulb in it that draws about 4.5A which is why I know about the switch capacity) and it'd be trivial (for those with good lathes) to machine up a 510 to Maglite bulb socket adapter.
