RE: vapemate
and I found a fantastic local shop that I am trying to get here as a vendor. They do 99% of their sales online (their two storefronts are very spartan and boring). It's clear they have the B&M fronts open only to save shipping costs to locals and maybe have a place to make the juice. They sell very little gear and the public front is no bigger than a small bedroom. But their prices are great due to the low overhead and they're tasty, too. I hope I can get them here. 32ML for $6.99 and they fill it to the neck.

RE: vapemate
I did the sums for the capital investment necessary to produce good, safe juice. While I can make my own for around £10 ($15ish) per litre, the overhead costs are way, way higher than the materials cost. Unless I could do titanic volumes I'd have to sell at stupid high prices  - think upwards of Five Pawns* prices - to make a living.

I'd have to spend the sort of money a new Porsche costs on equipment and more like the price of a Bugatti Veyron if I wanted to do in-house analysis. Then rents round here are very high - say $3000 a month for premises that could be adapted. Now I put some value on my time so I need to make around $23 an hour (National average wage here which may seem a lot but we also have very, very high prices and taxes.) Suddenly I either charge insane prices or need to sell the stuff by the ton.

The huge Chinese producers like Hangsen** are making the best quality juices (Though there aren't many I like) in vast volumes and therefore the enormous capital costs of their plant don't matter as they are shipping the giant volumes needed. Many, many juice sellers are just repackaging or relabelling Hangsen/Dekang juices. Some of which gets sold at ultra-premium prices.

* Hopefully now out of business but was known for ludicrously overpriced juices. And lying about what was in their juice.
** Hangsen is AFAIK the world's largest juice maker by a long way.

RE: vapemate
Yeah I agree, the overhead is where the money problem is at. It's like my dad owning a photography company. People get mad because we charge more for our portraits than Walmart prints, but they don't realize that he has to pay marketing reps and photographers and salespeople and office workers, and the overhead of buying cameras and lights and laptops and all that, so obviously it has to cost more than $1 per print. Fortunately, when I'm making my own juice I don't need to test it or get a bunch of equipment to automate the flavoring or anything like that, I can take twenty minutes to mix 100ml by hand and that's totally fine with me. I wish I had the capital to sell juice, but I just can't afford to invest in the equipment needed.

Also, I use 50mg/ml nicotine concentrate, which is a lot cheaper and easier to work with than pure nicotine. So that's helpful. But that wouldn't work on an industrial scale because it would be too expensive in the long run.

RE: vapemate
I think I ordered from them once. I certainly get enough email from them.

I think that at least some of the juices are relabelled Hangsen but my memory could be at fault here.

RE: vapemate
When threads move in to personal attack or undesired topic realms, then it's time to nuke them. But although your topic got muddied, some good info did come out of it so, yay. Sorry to run it off the original course though.

Look, I'm not one to ask for likes, but I'm at 666. While I'm a huge paranormal fan and really dig all the negative connotations associated with it, could you help a brother out and shoot me a like so I can be rid of this mark of the devil?

RE: vapemate
Update I got my menthol liquid a couple of days ago been running both in separate Atlantis v1 tanks same coils 0.5 ohm same wattage 30 and I have come to the conclusion that trying to get a comparison of different flavour strengths using menthol flavour wasn't one of my better ideas as menthol in it's self is quite a strong taste so I'm going to try something a little more subdued although not sure what yet Laugh2

RE: vapemate
Good point; menthol is a prominent beast. Tough to use as a comparative. I love it sometimes, in non-tobacco flavor applications anyway.
