The best I can do is reference Spas' post earlier. If you just tag it that way in the body here it will work. Otherwise, yes, have Spas come over. I live across the pond so I'm no help there. At the end of this post I will put exactly what Spas suggests (including the location of the exact image he referenced there) so you can see what happened.

Hopefully that helps

I've read that bit of the reply you wrote (that ive edited) over and over.. I honestly have no clue what it  means.

I get the end bit about editing the code, that bit is just in my IQ level, but I don't know where to put that code once I've edited it. It doesn't work just putting in in this reply window, the only clicky icon that I can put it in is the link one. Wacko2 I'm so confused, and maybe a little inept too Smile

While we're here, you couldn't see your way to righting my image post in the dip yer wick thread could you. Big Grin

I've fixed your dip yer wick post Good2

Any chance you can do some screengrabs of exactly what you have tried so far? PM me the links if you want and I'll take a look.

Just to be sure there's no confusion. If you use the 'insert image' button then you just place the url to the image in there (without the image tags)

If you're inserting the image directly into the text window then that's when you need them.

I don't think it's a technical problem because you successfully managed to quote TinWhisker's post above which included the image.

RE: posting images
Here is the location of the image Spasmod references.

http://i1362.photobucket.com/albums/r700...cvcuvk.jpg

There are no tags of any kind; I've simply copied and pasted the link, and nothing more. To the software, it treats it like any link, and simply references it as a link. However, when I begin a string of text with the [IMG]tag, and end it with the[/IMG] tag, that informs the site's software that I have defined an image that I wish to display within the body. As you see, the text I put between the IMG tags is not a link to a valid image so it cant display it properly. However, if you put the web photo link between them, the image will display as intended.

In other words, the software knows that when the IMG tags are used with a URL, the intention of the submitter is to display a picture. Try taking the URL above and putting the IMG tags around it as described; see if that helps. You can edit your own photo in the other thread once you get it.

^This wasn't here when I looked earlier.. spooky. I saw you'd fixed my post, thanks, I was going to try what tinwisker suggested but it was already done.

I'll apply what you've said to my next image post, it's not something I've tried yet so it may well be just my computer literacy skills lacking somewhat.
Just one thing I noticed, it's probably nothing but in the second screen grab of yours the insert image box looks different to mine. Mine has "hight" and "width" boxes, yours has a check box saying something like "don't let dialogue happen" ( can't see your post while I write )  why are the different?

RE: posting images
My fault.. don't worry about that - it's because I had the editor in Source Mode.

If yours is like the image below, it's just the same. Good

RE: posting images
this HTML class. Value is [URL=http://s1362.ph

Just a practice, please excuse ;)

this is what happens when I try the first option you've suggested. I never get to edit the code because I have to paste it first. Once I do that I get this^ no code.

But the other method worked!! Yay. Unfortunately I pressed the underline button and it won't turn off. Hahahahaha
