please help
I just recently built an ork t10 mod box with 2 18650 batteries. I ended up having a short in my ground and one of the other wires which ended up smoking and pretty much almost blowing up one of my batteries (got very hot and was starting to weld on to the negative battery terminal). I just fixed the short and rewired the whole box and now im wondering if I should just go buy 2 new batteries or are the ones I have still good???  (negative side of battery has a black mark on about half the battery from where it was starting to weld to the terminal and the positive end only has a little black spot)

RE: please help
I wouldn't even try to charge the shorted batteries indoors - heavy damage may have been done to them and damaged cells tend to show their nasty side when being charged. If you have charged them and they didn't leak or explode then they might, or might not be safe to use again.

I'd replace them myself.

RE: please help
$35-40 for peace of mind is pretty cheap, vs a battery venting in your face.  Take the old ones to a battery recycling place so they can live another day, lol

Remind one liberal per day, that laws affect only the law-abiding.
