So are you going for 2s or 2p?

This does have an effect on the MOSFET you need as one that'll switch at 8V is unlikely to do so at 4V. And one that switches at 4V may or may not work at 8V.

You may have to change the arrangement of contacts on the sled to suit.

I'm going for 2s, the mosfet I bought was this one, I hope it works! It's the only one that will work with the display screen I bought, I assumed because the digi screen works with series the fet would too..

I could reduce it further, I really only needed the contacts Big Grin
Chose to use it like that because it gives the end to end battery size perfectly for the position of the divider wall I'm putting in there.

If I read the spec correctly, that'll be fine at 8V but wouldn't switch at 4V. I think it needs 5V to switch.

No machining tools means I have to have the next best thing

I think it went well, so it'll be a permanent feature on the finished piece.
I welded in the battery compartment dividing wall yesturday, but I forgot to get a pic.. always tomorrow Smile
