noob looking for recommended side button VV mods
Hello, pretty new to vaping. Have kanger emow and a aerotech mega. I prefer the 1.5ohms kanger dual coils to 1.8. Usually run the emow at like 4.2v.

Lookin for info on a side button mech mod with VV and a pcb for protection. E-huge looks awesone in 26650 but, is there anything like that for 18xxx that won't break the bank? I assume any mech mod with pcb won't come cheap. Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the TVF family! It's great to have you with us. Smile

I have the iTaste SVD but the switch is a weak point with it. With the coils you are using a good old Vamo VV/VW would work great and can be had these days for about $25. Everyone I hear that has one really likes it. Wink

Thank you so much! this looks like just what I need. No crazy battery tube that looks like a lightsaber or weapon from Krull but just ripe with features. I'd be interested in anyone else's input too. But, thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction.

Are the batteries in a starter kit for this good or should I build my own kit?

*Just realized how much I'd love a Kanger Aerotank Giant - so I guess I need to look into 26650 VW mod afterall

I had a vamo for quite a while. Don't, I repeat don't ;-) buy the starter kit. My charger blew up and the batteries aren't good. Get yourself a decent charger and decent batteries and buy the standard v5. Its is a long thing which finally pushed !e onto mechs but at least you've got the batteries and charger so the jump is small.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for the info! As I research more, it looks like the VW is the real thing to get used to as VV isn't as consistent a vape when changing different atomizers and tanks due to differing resistances.

Welcome to TVF btc_vaper !

I had a Vamo too and they're great units for the money. For me VV or VW never made much difference, in theory it sounds great (chuck a different atty on there and the vape is the same) in reality that never rarely happens so you'll find yourself constantly adjusting it anyhow Big Grin

As long as you're off the smokes it's all good brother Good

What he said Smile

It is handy to be able to up the watts when you've made a higher resistance coil than you intended.

Enjoy it! I like that the wattage goes a bit higher than the ubiquitous Vamo.
