is my stillare v2 a clone ???
I have a problem with my stillare v2 I think its a clone but my shop didn't advertise it as a clone! It was 27.99 and it has all the laser etched engravings that the authentic has and it looks like gold plated posts and center pin but the whole top cap comes right off with the slightest pull if I drop it from an inch the top cap comes right off with the drip tip attached the o rings are so shitty and there red I haven't seen red o rings with the stillare v1 or v2 it came in a little black box that just had a white sticker that said stillarev2 and it said made in China so I thought the stillare was made in the USA does anyone know whats up ??!!??!! Its great other than the top cap coming off every time I try to even take the drip tip out lol

If they don't say its authentic its not. They won't advertise its a clone, but they will if its authentic.

RE: is my stillare v2 a clone ???
While it is a clone, you have to ask yourself one question: Does it vape? IF the answer is yes, I wold consider that you got a really good deal on an RDA. On the other hand, if you just wanted it for the name brand, you should have asked if it was a clone before handing over money.

I'll never understand those I consider "vape-snobs". If you have to have every new, shiny name brand item out there, you're vaping for the wrong reasons. I have one true authentic part, which I bought second hand from a friend. Every other vape device I own is a clone, and in some cases they're bad clones. But they all produce vapor, which is my main goal when using them.

I'm the same as BioHazard, I couldn't care less if it's Clone or authentic as long as it works well. The only authentic atties I have are ones that are really cheap to begin with (Doge, Mutation X) and the only authentic mods I have are ones that are well worth the money (Sigelei-100, God Mod 180). As far as mechanical mods and RDAs go, the clones are often just as good as (or in some cases better than) the authentic that cost way more.

RE: is my stillare v2 a clone ???
Probably a clone...but there is a quick fix for this issue as many authentics have the same issue.  Take a piece of dental floss, and pull in tight against the o-ring...it should slide between the metal and the o-ring.  Wrap it completely around once then tuck the ends with a pick, jeweler's driver, or toothpick.  Put the cap back on and test...if it's still loose...repeat the process until it doesn't just slide off.

Several RDAs have this issue including several batches of Doge V2s, Motofo Trolls, and Galaxy.

Edit:  If you are concerned with purchasing gear that may be a clone, most gear comes with a scratch off section on the bar code for authentication purposes.  Some gear even come with certificates, or in the case of the the Hellboy a numbered medallion.

RE: is my stillare v2 a clone ???
I'm in the "it's a clone" camp. But like others have said, if it vapes well then that's all that matters.
