high powered box mod
hi guys
I am on the look out for a new VW mod
I would like it to run high wattage occasionally so probably looking at the 200w mark
18650s 26650s or lipo I am up for any recommendations

size isn't an issue compared to my morse code box it will be small Smile
I have been looking at a few reviews on the main culprits just wondered what the experts thought Good
thanks

if at first you don't succeed ,call it version 1.0

RE: high powered box mod
I like the triple battery mods, actually capable of 200 while still small and managible. Wismec Rx200 or the dna 200 would be better if you can find one

RE: high powered box mod
My current favorite is the IPV5. Now I've used a few DNA200s but I don't use TC enough to warrant it. I have the Snow Wolf 1.5, the Cuboid. I traded the XCube 2 and the Fuchai away. I am a mech guy at heart though. I user drippers a lot. So a box like the conspiracy 2puffs isa more my style TBH. I like the IPV5 because the chip responds almost instantaneously. It has all the power I need. I do use other smaller mods too - IPV D2 and D3So I , Vaporflask Stout, and others. I even have some rarer boxes like the Sith box and the Twisted Messes - this is my second favorite box.

If you list the boxes you have been looking at I'm sure we could provide more insights and experiences. Of course, all things are personal preferences. I was recently asked which atties I use most. I think I surprised people when I said Vector first, Doge X2 comp and then Veocity mini. I have the Twisted Messes, the Double Vision, the Troll, the Kennedy 24 and many others. But they are not my favorites. I will use very tiny attys sometimes - the stumpy and the low pro. I can apply this to mods as well. I mean I must have a few doizen kicking about from Istick 30 all the way up to 200 watt devices. A few of my favorites are only 120-150 watts as I rarely vape higher anyway.

RE: high powered box mod
Have to put in my vote for the iPV5 as well. Being a mech mod guy, you'll probably appreciate the quick, strong hit of the YiHi SX chipset. Just no comparison to any other mod I have used (except for its' predecessor the iPV 4s, same chipset).

I have the RX200, and frankly I was very unimpressed with it. Definitely lacking the punch of the iPV5. I have no experience with a DNA200 chipset to speak of though.

RE: high powered box mod
Snow Wolf is a slower response than the IPV5 by far. Cuboid is pretty quick. It is not bad. Vaporshark DNA 200 I am not familiar with. But it is a DNA 200 so ... probably similar to all the others. It will respond very nicely as DNA 200s are quick to respond as well. I just do not think it is worth the cost personally. It also pisses me off that you cannot access escribe with a MAC. Fuck that.

As far the Sigeleis go ... I've owned a few. The 150 watt mod is a beast. No TC but I don't care about that. However, the Sigelei 213w is on the way. I would wait for that first. The Fuchai did not impress me. I traded it very quickly. Not close to the IPV5 or the Cuboid.

I hate the RX200. I might be a minority. First I don't want to carry three matched batteries. Jeez. Then, it hits like an old lady in a boxing match. Sry. Not my cup of tea. I don't care that it lasts all day. So does my castigator with a .25 ohm build. And I vape pretty heavy.

BTW, opinions are like assholes. We all have one.

RE: high powered box mod
For a high-power mech mod, a Lethal clone which takes 3 18650s (Nobody seems to have any and the original isn't cheap), or the frankly fugly Twisted420 mod would be worth a look. But the Twisted mod won't fire below 0.15 ohms which seems rather too high for such a device.

3Fvape have a Tres Equis mod clone which is another 3x18650 mech. This should be good for up to 6ish amps or well north of 200W. You'd need to build really, really low though. To get 60A you'd want 0.07 ohms.

I have a couple of DNA200 mods and an RX200 and would happily recommend any of them. The RX will only fire down to around 0.1 ohms in power mode, 0.05 in TC.

RE: high powered box mod
I love the look of the Vaporshark 200, nice LiPo with the DNA200 chip, unfortunately I haven't been able to afford one yet but I've heard great things about it and it looks awesome.
