[help] stingray mod clone not firing [updated]
I am using a fully charged sony vtc5 18650 battery in my stingray mod clone and it is not firing... Help would be appreciated

edit: ok when I just put the rda on top on the battery just touching like this http://gyazo.com/e1295a5d90455df1c02a60b39af7496c (without the connector) it fires (but made sparks). so it must be the connector how can I fix this?

RE: [help] stingray mod clone not firing
The problem is probably the dished negative contact. Its edges will be hitting the battery wrapper rather than the metal.

Two options:

1) File down the negative contact till it is the same diameter as the exposed metal of the cell base
2) Put a small magnet on the base of the cell. Beware though, if the magnet moves it will auto fire. I burned a hole in a jacket pocket finding that out.

Yes - it is a bit adjustable for battery length. The problem is that the dished contact in the picture is making contact with the wrapper. If you reduce its diameter it will contact the metal on the base of the cell.

Does the top cap (where you screw the atty in) have a screw underneath? I don't have that particular mod, so I don't know if it has that or not but most mods have a screw that adjusts the 510 connection. Screw your atty onto the top cap, then turn that screw until it stops. It sounds like the problem is with your connection, it's not touching the atomizer, so adjusting that screw should fix it.
