RE: hello all
Welcome to the forum alex!

You've got a nice setup there. Samsung 25R cells are some of the best available, and the Mutation X is a killer atty. I've not had a Manhattan mod, but I've heard great things.

However, .09 ohms is not safe on any device, ever. For one thing, ohm readers can't accurately measure that low of a resistance, which means you could be vaping something that's actually way lower without realizing it. There aren't any 18650 cells that can handle the kind of strain that puts on them. Use ohm's law to figure out the amps required:

Amps = volts/resistance

So in your case:

Amps = 4.2V/.09 ohms = 46.67 Amps

The very highest rated cells can only go up to about 25-30 Amps. Samsung 25R cells are good to about 20A, which means the very lowest your builds can safely be is:

Resistance = 4.2V/20A = .21 ohms

So I'd suggest you try to keep it around .25 ohms or higher, that way you're keeping the cells within their rated limits.

Yep to get down into the .09 area you are really looking at Lipo territory.

If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?

RE: hello all
Yeah there's a huge difference between .09 and .9 ohms. If he can't tell the difference, I'd say that man definitely shouldn't be working in a vape shop. .9 would be safe on nearly anything, .09 not so much.

RE: hello all
I told him it was pretty low, but he said it wasnt. I went with it... idk what i was thinking.
Would my mod and atty be safe to use still?

And that line was funny...

RE: hello all
As long as you didn't screw up your battery, you most likely didn't screw up your mod or atty either. The battery would usually be the first thing to go, and if it got messed up, that could mess up the other stuff. There's a small possibility that by pushing that much current through your mod, it could have melted the spring inside your push button, which could cause your mod to short out even if the battery was unharmed. So you might want to pull the switch apart and make sure it all looks fine. As long as it looks good, just put it back together the way you found it and vape away! (At safer resistance levels, of course) It's always a good idea to take your mod apart and clean it every now and then anyway, so if everything's ok, just clean it up so it won't have been a waste taking it apart Wink

The only thing I can think of on the atty that might have been affected is the delrin insulator. That's the little plastic bit that surrounds the positive post where it connects to the deck. That could be melted by the heat from having too much power going through the atty, but if that's the case then it would be visible and noticeable so if it looks ok, you're fine.
