first rebuild
So I decided to pull my new V5 apart and rebuild it this morning. This was the first time I've tried anything like this so I figured it wasn't gonna be easy. Well, some of it was a piece of cake and then there was the negative post. I was taking out the original coils and when I got to the second negative post the whole thing just fell off. It took me a good hour of fiddling and swearing before I got that thing to stay on. Afer that mess got fixed making the wicks and coils were fairly easy. Got it all back together with no hot spots and it vapes awesome.

Cool.  Glad to hear its sorted and successful, next you'll be scouring the house for potential wick material and scouring youtube for rebuild ideas.

Check out riptrippers, lots of interesting builds to try out.

RE: first rebuild
The post falling off was unexpected and a huge pain in the a$$.  I'm really no sure how long my repair will last. I might add another V5 to my next order cause I really like it. Making the coils was much easier than I expected. I'm looking forward to building some other stuff now.

I would be tempted to make a ticket out about that post, even though the thing cost buttons. I'd also srrongly recommend the trident rda,  I'm well pleased with mine.

I just successfully built my first "Patriot" RDA. 7 wraps of 26ga Kanthal gave me .82 OHM's. Thank_you2

Well i won't win any cloud contests but I get a really good vape cloud and great flavor.

Since I purchased that Innokin Itaste 134 Mini, I gotta learn how to build coils that are ABOVE 1.0 ohms.

I like Rip Tripper..Kind of a character.

I have a coil question. I can't remember if I already asked it. I know when a wick is bad. Burny taste. But how do you know when it's time to replace the coil.

RE: first rebuild
Every time you replace your wick - or every other time, but I do it every time - you burn the coil and clean it.  After a half dozen or so times, you'll notice it start to taste funky even after cleaning it.

Alternatively, build a new coil every 2-5 wicks (depending on juice and gunking) and forget about cleaning them, because when you buy large rolls Kanthol is cheap.

Remind one liberal per day, that laws affect only the law-abiding.

RE: first rebuild
You're right. Kanthal is pretty cheap, and so is cotton. Might as well replace both.
