ejuice health
i do not have any scientific evidence about this but i had ceriusis (however its spelled) on my scalp for a couple of years. ive been vaping for about a year now everyday for about a little over 6 months i havent had any break outs of ceriusis and i just noticed it but im assuming this might be from the VG juice in the ejuice that might be helping my skin and the reason it took so long for it to work is because of the small amounts of VG from vaping it instead of straight contact with the liquid. VG juice is also used for your skin to help acne and help keep your skin the way it should be if you use it in a consentrated form.

RE: ejuice health
so little is known about psoryasis , it is actualy quite possible that something in the vape has had a benaficial effect .
my father was a life long sufferer of psoryasis , and would ocasionaly see spells with out out break and clearing of usualy inflamed areas . he believed this to be dietary , but we were never realy sure .
with any luck you have stumbled on to something here. i'm rooting for you ,living with psoryasis can be extremely uncomfortable as well a socialy awkward.

btw welcome to TVF

Every day we learn something new and this is another interesting case. Hopefully we'll get a lot more research about similar topics to this in the upcoming years.

Thanks for sharing and I'm pleased to hear that your ceriosis condition is improving.

RE: ejuice health
My sweetheart is also a sufferer of psoryasis (dang that's hard to spell). She found some relief from using selenium sulfide based shampoo. There are a few brands out there, but she found that Selson Blue worked quite well. She applies it in the shower and lets it sit on the affected areas for several minutes, then rinses it off just before exiting the shower. It really helps her. I will be looking very soon to see it her Selson Blue might also contain VG.

Anyways, Welcome. I'm glad you found us.

RE: ejuice health
Hi and welcome Millie!

Psoriasis has a psychological component like most immune system related problems. If you feel good it is likely to cause fewer problems. But that is not to say that the VG/PG/flavours/whatever aren't helping.

I'll dig through the medical databases I have access to at work tomorrow (I work in a hospital) and see what I can find out. If I can't make sense of what I find, I'll get a doctor (I'm not a doctor or a nurse) to make sure that my ideas about what is being said are reasonable. Problem is all the doctors are psychiatrists rather than dermatologists. Who may or may not know much about psoriasis.

Do what makes you feel good about yourself. That makes just about every medical condition better.

Don, you'll realize quickly if you managed to ask your questions and whether they sounded crazy or not! ....a direct answer, a sly grin, a head nod or a straight jacket and a handful of meds.... Smile

RE: ejuice health
Welcome to the forum! Glad your psoriasis (the one and only instance that autocorrect is actually helpful) is doing better.

Just out of curiosity, did you smoke before you started vaping? I wonder if quitting smoking could have any effect on this... I have no idea, just speculating, but I know that smoking can cause all sorts of problems not just in your lungs. Anyone know of any link between smoking and skin conditions worsening?

RE: ejuice health
Smoking is alleged to age skin quickly. But given the giant amount of lying about tobacco by Public Health globally, this may or may not be the case.

This is not to say smoking is harmless, it is not.
