cleaning and/or re-using coils
Hi there,

I have some devices that I've used a few times so the coils are good but of course the cotton is soaked with juice. I tried to use like-flavors in each one (example raspberry this and then raspberry that) so that I wouldn't wind up mixing flavors too seriously but I think it's time to clean them if that's possible, what's the best way to go about this?

Thanks,
Deb

Soak in Vodka for an hour. Or Everclear. After soaking rinse with hot water for about 5 minutes. Then let it sit in water for about an hour. Then blow down your coil to get all the water out. Then let it completely dry. It will revive the coil but it will not last as long as the a new coil.

Can I replace the vodka or everclear with rubbing alcohol? Only asking because I don't have either of the others in the house.

No. Not rubbing alcohol.

Quick question about your last question, Shags... would you consume rubbing alcohol?

We have the partner of one of our customers banned from the hospital for drinking it out of the hand gel dispensers outside the appropriate ward. And all the nearby ones.

RE: cleaning and/or re-using coils
Hi Deb - used coils are really not worth the trouble to try and clean - even if you get a couple of days extra out of them it is not a decent vape at all.

I agree 100% with you. But I think in this case she means good coils with bad juice she wants to be rid of. Definitely do not use rubbing alcohol as it is quite harmful if ingested. Paul uses liquor to clean all sorts of things, so he can drink it. It may work but I've never tried it.

If you have a relatively clean coil you just want to flush unwanted juice from, a good long rinse in hot water followed by a thorough dry may help. But an old one- like Eddie said, not worth it.
