RE: can we help Raguri out with a little advice?
I think that without having a good play, I'll have no idea if throw or flood would be better. It's all a new language to me!
If all goes to plan, I'll be getting another M4 styled rifle, which means I could use the foregrip RIS rail as a mounting point. Therefore, if the body is mountable, I can run the bezel up infront of the RIS system so it has a little bit of extra room next to the sight Smile

Most 18650 hosts can be persuaded into a scope mount, it just depends if you need a pressure switch or can thumb/finger the switch. My lights are all reverse clicky too. They only light up when they click, forward clickys give a momentary on but make modes a bugger for me.

It is better getting a few in hand to get an idea of what suits, hence sending a small collection to play with.

Just to throw other things at you. I know a lot of people don't like zoomies who are really big into flashlights but the uniquefire UF-T20 is a great light for a rifle. It's a close of a hunting light by Wolfseye. With a de-domed XP-G2 on copper and a q-lite driver it will go over 100kcd with nothing but a tiny beam of light and can be backed down for pure flood.

It's one of my favorite lights and has many fans. I have two on the way right now. I sold two of them last week. One with a red emitter that was out of this world bright. It only registered 300lumens but inside it would hurt your eyes on high.

If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?

Yeah, weapon light I would want one mode forward clicky or pressure pad switch. Anything else, its got to be reverse for me.
After you get your airsoft light and dog walking light sorted, you will need a dedicated thrower, a soda can light( short fat multi-cell multi-emitter), and edc, and a few more just because. Spiteful

EDC - I like my Solarforce L2m. You can lego different heads, tailcaps, battery tubes, bezels. Gords dont like the p60 format, but its not bad for general use. Got a 3a qlite, and an xml2-t6 in it

Soda can - Cant beat the Supfire m6 for build quality

Thrower - Right now I got a Supbeam k40. not cheap, but they are probably the best for your money for around $100-140. Can be modded to a monster. I think vinh charges like $165 for a modded k40?

Then you need some stainless bling lights, some multi AA lights. Maybe a few AAA kicking around for back up, some 26650 lights...

I just wanted to add - I too have a UniqueFire v3 and I don't know why I never thought of it. Good idea gords, and great little light. The uniquefire UF-T20 is one light I would love to get my hands on and is probably the Perfect solution for pure hunting but perhaps you'll need a little more spill for Airsoft ? I'm not sure.

Anyhow Raguri, you're in the hand of the experts... what any of these guys don't know about flashlights genuinely isn't worth knowing. That's no exaggeration either Smile

This is really like learning another language!
Since It'll be rail mounted on the side of a mounted grip, then a clicky switch would be okay Smile. Since it's tunnels, it'll be on 99% of the time anyway! haha

UF-T20, qlite, dedomed xml2. Should make any non flashaholic impressed. If you do dedome, make sure you get it a little cooler than youd like, because the output will get a little warmer after dedome

All good information so far! P60 style like pulsar said is a good all around light, but will heat up fast when your pouring the power to it. has good flood and not to big and puts out a lot of light. Would also mount nice to a gun (picatinny) and not really be in the way either

Its a bad habit just like mech mods and attys!

Good

My only advice to Rags is 'surrender before you break something'.
