Raguri is getting back into airsoft battles.

He needs a torch.

Anyone know anything about weapon mounted options?Mail1

I have offered to send a couple of options down for him to play with.... would the trj19 weapon mount do we think?Diablo

That thing looks like a beast!
It would mount onto a RIS scope mount, but would probably foul the barrel when you try and put it on Tongue
currently trying to work my head around the driver side of things, emitter side seems okay.   Realistically, that convoy m1 you showed me is ideal size wise, but I do love the idea of building up from a host... (Darn you, you'll get me into torch building now!)

I have a very battle scarred HS802 with a 3A driver and an XM-L in it Smile You can get a weapon switch for it and the recoil from an Airsoft device wouldn't be bad.

I also have one of these coming for review - if it's any good it'll get given away afterwards. It should easily take rough handling.

You can buy the m1 as a host from fasttech or from cnqg, its called the d4.

Driver wise. Don't fuck about, you want qlites from intloutdoor.

http://intl-outdoor.com/qlite-reva-71358...p-710.html

That can be modded for more output if you need.

This is the emitter I love too.

http://intl-outdoor.com/noctigon-xm16-mc...p-745.html

Its only available on a 16mm star at the moment, but there are other options there.

You can also buy a cheap torch from ebay/fasttech/wallbuys then sort it out, but personally I prefer the hosts.

Another good option is the roche f8 if its still available, its built like a bloody tank and my version has taken a severe pasting and is still a solid light.

My god... I've always thought that a single 18650 torch would be long on a rifle... That would look mental, and awesome!
Plus, waterproof which is a bit of a bonus.
Just trying to learn about torch building etc. As most of you know, I like to tinker (Hence being a cloud chaser... I can tinker more with a dripper than a tank!). Plus, I do need a couple of torches..

One for airsofting,
One for dog walking when the winter comes around again,
One for cycling (Which will probably be the dog walking one, as It'd need a long range, and a half decent flood action).

Ouch.

AND YES!
I must have learned something already gords! I had that driver in my basket on FT! That exact one! :o
But I fluffed up on the emitter, that wasn't the same... XM-L2 T6-1B as it was the correct size... May re-think that.

I've got a proper stl-v2 here......its still an awesome light despite not being modded yet....

Im a bad influence lol. I'll put that edc together. It'll do a few of your listed tasks.

Dog walking, a headlamp has its uses. I use a 460 lumen Spark headlamp for the purpose. Leaves your hands free for poop picking and the like. And usually carry a 2x18650 thrower as well. Fast-moving black dogs need a lot of light to find.

RE: can we help Raguri out with a little advice?
Thanks Gords Smile No rush at all really! As I mentioned, need to do some penny saving.
And Don, that is one hell of a comparison! The Cree XM-L T6 looks ideal for airsofting, mainly as I'll mainly be in underground bunkers, so don't want a huge angle... more of a concentrated hot spot, with a little bit of lee way each way. (which that emitter looks like it has) Smile
(I hope that's the correct wording, if not, my apologies)

I know what you mean about needing a lot of light for dog spotting though! Spent ages looking for one of my Springers once, turns out he was pissing about in the river... Which was next to me

Basically, for throw, you want a big and deep reflector. Like this one that didn't want to come off.

Xp-g2. Trust me. Xp-g2. You'll love the light I have in mind, its only moderately over driven.......we've since figured out they can be driven much much harder. But its such a great little pocket light.

T6 1b is a pretty good dedoming candidate.....you need a coffee jar and some petrol....

Do you feel like alice at the rabbit hole yet?

Fasttech doesn't do the qlite, its the modes that are important along with the pwm frequency.
