beer fueled rsst mod...
Ok, so I've been bitching for a while about reducing the chamber in my rsst......

Problem, the jb steamworks reducer costs almost as much as an rsst, no longer a budget gennie, the fusion mods reducer is never ever ever in stock. And its still pretty dear over here.

Now I could spend time measuring, order some delrin, drill out and cut it to suit......but I have google and beer....

http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigar...or_a_rsst/

I also had a wine cork knocking about.....

Took about five minutes to carve it out and it seems to work, doubtless there will be complaints pouring in about how unsavoury this is, ill report back any issues but its done what I needed, my cork was one of the rubberised ones, a bread knife and chopping board were the tools of destruction, I didn't torch anything and its working fine, would I run this at .2ohm? No probably not, at 1.3ohm it seems fine though.

Pictures tomorrow.

Ok, quick shot of my handy work, I'm now going to bed before I have to scrape myself off the ceiling

LOL nice idea, it'll probably be fine at least until you can get some real cork. Did you notice a big difference in flavour ?

More that I had some flavour,  I'm just retesting it now tbhCool because of the aircraft hanger sized chamber in the rsst, even a .7ohm coil produced a cool flavourless vape. Now if i chug on it the top cap warms up with most of the warmth in the drip tip and im floating around with a nicotine overload.

I dont know if I'll change material,  this isn't soaking up any juice and its far enough away from the coil that the area nearest the coil just seems to get dried by the warmth in there.

If I was to change it, I'd get some delrin and machine a proper insert but for now, this works.

Nice, simple idea, Graham!  Speaking of beer fueled mods, I'd seen a post or video somewhere about someone making a chamber reducer from a beer can.  Looked just like a hollow version of the one in the Pulse. Big Grin

EDIT:  Quick google search and I found it: FT forums

I'd sern that one too. My "cork" reducer is still working a treat, although my ikarus has kind of put everything on the back seat in terms of flavour and use.  I really need to order more 18350's,  as it is I can drain em faster than I can charge emBlush

Plus its solid.  The top cap heats up more, a lot more, so the first pull gives a satisfying cloud, the eighth or ninth pull completely fogs the room, its giving a real dense vapour.

I'm quite pleased tbh

Did you check out the little hybrid I got for Christmas?  You'll love one of them, honestly you will
