Youshiko YC6000 Charger
I got this yesterday and it has been in constant use since. It is very similar in use to the Opus BTC3100 (Don't buy one of those with firmware 2.0 or below)

The rest is yet to be written.

RE: Youshiko YC6000 Charger
That black and red D cell in the background is 35 years old. By the look of it, it has finally succumbed to old age. I'll need to do something cruel like put it in a really dumb charger for a bit then short it for a bit then it should charge. NiCd cells are really tough.

First try...

Second try....

RE: Youshiko YC6000 Charger
Our very own Smiling Ogre has done a review of the obvious competitor the Opus BTC3100 charger. From Amazon in the UK these are the same price more or less.

If you need to charge D cells the Youshiko is the only one other than the big old Maha C808M at the back that can. The Maha cost more than any two of the other chargers. It will charge 8 D cells at the same time at either 1 or 2A.

RE: Youshiko YC6000 Charger
It is a sort of hybrid of the LiitoKala Engineer and the Opus. I actually prefer the Opus showing the data for all four cells simultaneously. But the big, clear display that is readable without backlight is very nice on the Youshiko.

But it is easy and intuitive to use and the manual is better than many.

The Opus can be had from China for a bit above half what the Youshiko costs here. But in the UK it is much the same price as the Youshiko.

I've never seen the LiitoKala for sale outside China though no doubt someone sells it. It was cheaper than the Opus if memory serves.

I also have the LiitoKala but haven't used it much it seems to get quite hot the charger itself, I think the BT-C quite a few people put there own name to it mine isn't the Opus but is identical to it, and yeah i like the display showing all 4 cells on them, must admit i like the looks of it, the cheapest i've seen it so far is £40 but haven't seen it for sale apart from Amazon there's plenty of the 4000 for sale on eBay but that's only for AA AAA batteries but no one selling the 6000 lol
