RE: Xtar VC4 Battery Charger review
If you need any more details, Henrik has, as ever, done an extremely thorough job on this charger.

RE: Xtar VC4 Battery Charger review
I have one of these chargers and love it
The only negative as EV said is it not coming suplied with a plug
I had to buy a plug with the correct rating as it was taking forever to charge with the usb socket I had at home

if at first you don't succeed ,call it version 1.0

RE: Xtar VC4 Battery Charger review
OK, one area of vaping in general I have not explored is battery chargers. When I got my first 18650 mod, I also got a Nitecore Intellicharger i4. That has been the extent and length of my experience with chargers. Sure, it works fine and I have nothing bad to say, but seeing this thread makes me wonder if I'm missing anything. I have a lot of cells so it doesn't matter to me how long the i4 takes to charge since I always have extras, so I never think about the charger. I know it's an outmoded model; no display and it's been around a long time.

Any good reason to upgrade?

RE: Xtar VC4 Battery Charger review
Unless you're pulling silly amps from your cells in series, I would stick with the intellicharger. It's a good charger with a long history of being reliable and safe.

You could potentially upgrade to a hobby charger with proper balance charging abilities but there's no real need in your situation. I know Don has a setup he's developed for accurate balance charging so he'll know more if you want to investigate that road.

Thanks Spas. If I ever get to the point of really needing balance charging, I will certainly turn to the master. Sounds like the i4 is here to stay for now.

RE: Xtar VC4 Battery Charger review
I have used xtar chargers for several years now. We stock Xtar as our premium charger in the store. One of the chargers I trust the most. In the shop we use the older 6 bay charger to charge larger quantities of batteries and have charged cells on hand. One of the few brands I don't need to worry about having returns on.
