Would love your opinion
Hello everyone!

First off, thanks for the opportunity to interact with you folks. Im sure my Wife & I will learn a lot and receive a tremendous amount of great input!
I hope someday that we will be able to give back to the community!

Well, Im sure these 2 questions have been asked a few million times but they are important and I want to make sure that we continue along our vaping journey as intelligently as possible.

Currently we use E-smart vape pens with battery and cartomizer and enjoy them very much. The first bottle of e-juice we purchased was Babylon Pina Colada 0% nicotine. While we enjoy the pens we have very much we are interested in moving up to something that will allow for more vapor and maybe a little more intensity (not a whole lot more but just a bit).

I know this is like asking someone what kind of car we should get, but would you mind telling me what vapor product comes to mind that in your opinion would work for our scenario? Maybe just a short list of a couple that you feel comfortable recommending.

Same for e-Juice recommendations. Maybe a PG/VG ratio (I do suffer from a bit of throat irritation and mucus in my throat after vaping) you would advise us to utilize and a couple establishments in which to purchase.

Sorry for such generic questions. Your input will really help us out!

Best to you always,

Rick

hi Rick and welcome to TVF
I was recommended this tank and I love it
no leaks it works every time and has cheap replaceable coils Good

for the mod although I don't own one I have heard good things about these

https://www.eleafworld.co.uk/30w-istick-e-cig

there are also 50w versions with better battery life

as for the juice I would try a 70vg 30pg mix and see how you get on
sorry I am from the UK so not to sure on where to buy from in the US but here is a list of US vendors on here

if at first you don't succeed ,call it version 1.0

Welcome to TVF Rick.

I agree 100% with Bob, have a look at the eLeaf line....sort of like the which car to buy but when you have brand/model that starts every time, does what its meant to do, does it safely, price is right, etc...the choices get narrowed quickly.

I started with the Aspire pen myself but then quickly moved to the eLeaf mini, that proved to be reliable and then switched to the eLeaf 100W...I run the mini with the Nautilus tank (interchangeable with the Aspire) and run the a crown tank on my 100W eLeaf.... adjust/reduce the watts and you can use the Nautilus tank on that mod...love being able to have multiple tanks with different juices all using a single mod....large enough but not bulky at all...fits in your shirt pocket...good luck!

Agree with Bob, it's each to their own but i would recommend a Kanger topbox mini or a cool fire plus, the kanger comes as a complete kit and with the airflow control gives you the option of mouth to lung or direct to lung inhale, probably your best bet is to go to your local vape shop and have a try on these or any other that takes your eye and see how you get on, ive been vaping a while and still dont tend to go over 75 watts and even now my go to mod for work is still the cool fire iv plus with a isub s tank for flavour and clouds without breaking the bank, hope this helps but would highly recommend going to a shop and having a play with various kits

RE: Would love your opinion
The tank and the mod would be great as Bob advises. The only thing I would be wary of is the 70% VG I think that could be too thick for the coil to handle. I have this tank and use 50/50 juice because of a harshness from PG. - it handles that ratio just fine. When I used 70%VG I found the coils were lasting only 8 or 9 days - with the 50/50 juice the coils are lasting around 17 to 18 days - it is just a point to remember. BTW the coil I use is the 1.5ohm. There is a 1.2ohm coil and having to use a bit more power with that the 70% VG could be fine and certainly for sub ohming it is great.

RE: Would love your opinion
I'm glad you are asking questions Rick.  Not knowing any better, I went with 50%/50% juice and am now experiencing some throat irritation.  Can't wait until I'm through with my supply and make my own 70%/30% juice.  Wondering how you are doing with 0% nic?  Any craving issues?

Regarding vendors, at the bottom of the forum is list of supported vendors.  Just a note, there are a lot of good Memorial Day sales going on, might be a good time to invest in new equipment.

Thank you all so much. I don't want to take up so much space as to quote all the commenters so thank you Bob,Fatboy, dazk73, ecignut and bibliora. You are all fantastic!

Bob-Im going to head to my local shop today and take a look! Thanks for the recommendations!

Fatboy-I love your "counter" re:no cigarettes, congrats!! Great information!

dazk73-excellent idea to visit my local shop! Gonna give it a go and see how the devices are!

ecignut-thanks for the heads up regarding the coil. How do you know when your coil is going out? Also, when it does need to be replaced is that something I can do myself or should I have the shop do that for me? Sorry for the elementary questions, Im a newbie!

bibliora-does your throat irritation include mucus production? I seem to have it myself quite a bit after I vape and then it lingers. Is there any way to combat that? Thanks for the heads up regarding the vendors. Actually, my Wife & I have been non smokers for 30+ years but both missed it all those years so we started vaping with 0% nicotine (is that weird?). Are there many non former smokers who like to vape?

best to you all and thank you!!

rick

Welcome and definitely let us know what you get and how you like it. I suggest the highest VG amount you can get that still allows proper wicking. Nothing at all wrong with PG but it is harsher on the throat than VG (of course, that said a lot of people actually like that). Also, VG is better for vapor production if that's also your thing.
