RE: Worried!
It came for free with the cheapest data logging multimeter I could get my hands on. I've had it for ages - this is what I used to use it for.

I've been playing with lithium batteries for about ten years now.

It certainly isn't my job Smile

RE: Worried!
What I'm thinking is a bit Blue Peter (For non-Brits, a very popular kids' TV show that specialised in making stuff out of toilet roll cores and adhesive plastic sheet). I'll attach a thermocouple to an 18650, wrap it in toilet roll cores till it will fit in a 26650 mod - I have one with holes in the sides I can lead out the thermocouple wires. Then add a stupid low atomiser (unfortunately I don't have the sort of meters that would be capable of measuring voltage and current under load) and fire it till the performance falls off taking note of the temperatures along the way.

This means setting up a box that has drivers for the meter so I can get it to log temperatures. It is going to be more than a little untidy but ought to be doable.
