RE: Wismec Rx200
Summary: It is a nice mod. Just don't even think about using USB charging on it. If it worked right it'd take most of a day, but it doesn't work even remotely right. The USB ports for firmware upgrades, not balance charging.

If you don't know what balance charging is - either buy a 4 channel charger or a proper balancing charger or DO NOT BUY this device.

RE: Wismec Rx200
I've been using mine for the past few days at .1 100w.. I'm concerned I've damaged the batteries, lg hg2 last 3 hours, 25r's last 2 1/2.  Upped the resistance earlier and seen only a marginal improvement. Although i cant actually test the capacity of my cells, I don't recommend pushing the wismec that hard.

Don't forget to apply for the freecycle section!

I'm looking at the RX200 as my new mod, then was baffled by all the options for a charger.  Is a 4 bay charger the same as a 4 channel charger? I understand the concept of balanced charging, but not the terminology. The unit takes three batteries, so I would recharge all three at once, with one bay free?

RE: Wismec Rx200
I vape the RX at 100 watts as well, Gently. Have now used it a day. My coil is only .25 though on my RDA. Still can feel heat when chain vaping. Using LG4s. I've charged it internally and then put them on and external charger to make sure they were all the same and l swapped battery positions. I'll keep checking but when I checked the battery power on an external charger they seemed fine.

You can cgarge just three batteries on a 4 bay charger bibkiora. No issue there.

RE: Wismec Rx200
Bibliora the main point is to make sure the batteries are all charged to the same levels, all charged at the same time and never used in a different mod. I use a 4-bay charger and then just check the voltage with a multimeter to make sure they're all the same before using them.

RE: Wismec Rx200
Thank you for the information.  I have no experience with rechargeable batteries so just looking at the drop down menu for chargers confused the heck out of me because I'm thinking iPod charger. These posts pointed me in the right direction so the battery/cell FAQ made more sense.  Now I know I need the mod, the charger and the batteries, plus shipping, so it's not just a $40 purchase.  Still less than two cartons of smokes but I'll suffer with my ego a little while longer.  At least I have two of those.

RE: Wismec Rx200
bibliora, the mod is nice (I had one, but it wasn't really my cup of tea), but you could also get a 2-cell mod like the iPV5, the i4 charger, and 4 cells instead. That would give you two pairs of cells and a really good mod as well, just a thought. Battery life would be a bit less, but with a full set on standby that would make up for the difference. iPV5 is not expensive either.

RE: Wismec Rx200
Yeah there is a bit of an up-front investment, though for most folks it ends up cheaper in the long run.
Since you're new to rechargeable batteries, let me give you some quick advice.

I highly recommend the Efest LUC V4 charger. It charges up to 4 batteries at two different charging speeds, 0.5A for normal charging and 1.0A for fast charging if you really need them fast. It can also charge two cells at 2.0A, which is nice if you have a 2-cell mod but I guess that doesn't really matter for you. It also has a built-in voltmeter so it'll tell you exactly how charged your batteries are, and from my experience it's quite accurate. It's a really nice charger and reasonably priced.

For batteries, I'd recommend either LG HG2 or Samsung 25R. These are both high amp cells that can handle anything the RX200 will throw at them, and while some batteries have been "cloned" (people selling fake cells made to look like good brands), I've never seen fake HG2s or 25Rs so that's not much of a risk with these.

The charger will cost you around $30-40. The batteries are about $10 each. So for three batteries and a charger, you're looking at around $60. I really recommend getting two sets of batteries, that way you can still vape when they need charging. Just make sure to mark them as "set 1" and "set 2" since they need to always be kept together, no mixing and matching.
