RE: Who Steeps their Juice ?
Hi orangepixie, welcome to the forum, I've not yet had a juice long enough to steep tbh, once I settle on a flavour or two I plan to order enough to actually try it.

Thanks for joining and happy vaping

Hi orangepixie, welcome to TVF and I hope you enjoy it here Big Grin

Either I have Vaping Mice or this new 'chod' mod is going through juice like it's going out of fashion Dodgy one day I'll remember to give it a go.. oh and there's no point in asking gords to steep juice unless we buy him a 1 Ltr bottle to start with Big Grin

RE: Who Steeps their Juice ?
I've been steeping some real tobacco leaves in PG for the last 30 hours - just having it's first filter right now.

This stuff is dark and smells earthy with a real bitter taste, it's incredibly strong. I decided to make some Burley extract to begin with - I have about 1.5 leave's worth of extract which will make approx 40-50ml of flavouring I'm guessing.

This stuff takes forever to filter though and I'm impatiently waiting to give it a go Confused

RE: Who Steeps their Juice ?
Keep it warm and it'll strain better.

Me I'd use something like a cheap sieve from Poundland first then SS mesh to remove the lumps before filtering it with something finer.

If you don't have enough spare mesh, I can send you a DL envelope's worth of 20 micron stuff tomorrow. The mesh people sent me roughly twice as much as I ordered so it won't leave me short.

PM me with your address and I'll bung it in the post.

RE: Who Steeps their Juice ?
Cheers Don.. I did exactly what you suggested actually great minds think alike eh ? Tongue I forced it through a sieve first to break all the leaves up into tiny particles then put is back on the heat for 10 mins to warm it. It's seiving okay just not as fast as I want like in 30 seconds LOL Big Grin

I do need some mesh but I need it for wicking, is that 20 micron good for that kind of thing I wonder ? how much do you want for some buddy ?

RE: Who Steeps their Juice ?
Nothing - which is what it cost me. It just means I'll be down to a lifetime's supply instead of two lifetimes.

I thought the finer mesh might wick faster than the coarser but since my only functioning Genesis (ATM) is wicking just fine for me I'm not going to mess with it till I have to. The usual seems to be 400, this is 500. Now looking at the web page and I have no idea in what way the 500 is different from the 400. I'd have gone for the rather more expensive 650 (20 micron) if they'd had any in stock.
