Hammer of God would be perfect, though not all day carry suitable.

PaulS Wrote:Ubertoot 2 UTA - Like the Hurricane the machining is flawless. Of course it does not matter. Getting one is near impossible, lol. Their website is temporarily down. This is essentially a MTL tank BUT you can get a direct lung hit if built right. Like the Hurricane JR it has a condensed vapor chamber. Now thew new RTAs are trying to do the same thing ( all the minis out there). But there is something about the flavor on the original that surpasses all the copies and wannabees. Wicking and building this is a breeze. Again its old school. No top fill.

Eden Mods Rose 3 - This is the top of heap. Unparalleled machining and quality here guys. This baby has a postless deck too. It can be filled top or bottom. It comes with a PC tank but you can get an SS tank too. Easy to build - easy to wick. The flavor on the Rose 3 is simply the best you can get from an RTA. You just need to dial in the juice control. You can MTL the Rose 3 but you can and will direct lung hit this little baby. So nice.

Both of these originals are frighteningly expensive. Like around $150 each. Or more. However there are cheaper copies out there...

I have clones of both of these, the Ubertoot appears to be 1:1, the Rose 3 isn't (Though on close inspection it is a closer clone than I thought at first) so bear this in mind as I continue. Both can do lung hits though I doubt they'd handle lots and lots of watts. The Rose 3 clone that I have is actually a little too airy for MTL unless you shut the air completely which gives the sort of draw I want.

Both have adjustable juice flow though only the Rose can adjust it on the fly. Since this tends to be a "set and forget" thing this is no biggie.

For maximum airflow, the Rose widdles all over the Ubertoot which is only capable of restricted lung hits. The Rose should be good to more watts than I care to try. the strange thing is that the drip tip it comes with (Which has pins on the bottom to engage with the juice flow) is more restrictive than the one that comes with the Ubertoot.

Both are on Wismec RX75 mods set to 19.8W. The same 80% VG juice in both. The coil in the Rose clone reads 1.09 ohms, the one in the Ubertoot clone reads 0.68. I have the Rose set to a fractionally tighter draw so the vape from the Rose is warmer and denser.

At these settings neither of them is a cloud beast, but the Ubertoot produces a slightly denser cloud. In fact the cloudage from both of them at 19.8W surprised me slightly.

Both are single coil atomisers though no doubt, someone out there has put multiple coils into them. Both wick 80%VG flawlessly. Both need more cotton than you'd expect to use. If you don't, like every other atty out there, they will leak.

Both have pretty small vapour chambers, the Ubertoot's is probably a little smaller so should be better for flavour. I think the Ubertoot has it by a hair when alternating draws between the two.

Building is straightforward on both, the Ubertoot probably has the edge here, but the Rose 3 is way easier than the Rose 2 to build.

My vote between those clones would be the Ubertoot but both are very good.

Both have simple micro coils of 0.36mm (27 gauge) 316L stainless steel - mainly as the 0.5mm Kanthal got buried in dog hair and dust and will need extensive cleaning before use...

The Hurricane JR clone is also quite nice. Fabulous flavor.

Cuthulu has just come out with a MTL 24mm RTA. I have not tested it yet. I did hear good things about it though.

RE: Which RTA should I get? updated Oct 19/16
I have been vaping at lower watts lately but not quite MTL. Just a pleasant 30 watt DL. The new Merlin mini is capable of a single coil MTL vaper, BTW, and is a very nice RTA. Maybe one of the best single coil flavor RTAs. You can vape the Merlin around 15-20 watts comfortably with the smaller airhole attachment. It has three choices for the single deck - no attachment, intermediate attachment, small attachment. Then it has the dual deck option as well. Very nice little RTA guys. Should do a full review but I'm lazy. Just say it's nice. I just got it for one of my DNA 75 and have it vaping at 25 watts. Battery lasts all day too. Using a .7 ohm single coil kanthal clapton.
