Best Tanks New Years 2017

Best 30mm RTA:

I have tie here. There are a slew of very good 30mm RTAs now. If you have the cash the Modfather and the Sherman are both at the top. Now these RTAs require a background in building and wicking. You need the right amount of cotton. You need to know how to burp or baby your tank. When I fill the Sherman I don't close the top cap all the way. I vape turn, vape turn, and vape turn and close. This prevents the pressure from pushing the juice through the AFC. The Modfather I burp - upside down and then right side up.
The above RTAs are the best but for a cheaper excellent RTA get the Boreas. It's fantastic at the cost.

Best 25-30mm RDTAs:

Iron Maiden without a doubt. This RDTA ticks every box. It vapes beautifully is easy to build and is a pleasure to own if you like big clouds.
Limitless Plus comes close but no cigar. Aromamizer supreme comes close but no cigar.

Best high end tootle vape RTAs:

Again a tie. I love the Hurricane Jr and the Pico but they are not the top two.
The DDP One by DDP Vape is a rebuildable tank atomizer from Malaysia. It's a tiny Genesis style that has amazing flavour, great usability and easy to build and wick. Quality is superb.
In'Sane by Althea mods is the other amazing dripper RDA that is actually a small RTA. Again a real winner here.

Best small single coil/dual coil RTA

Another tie IMHO. I would go Serpent mini or Merlin mini. Both are fantastic little RTAs. I use both. I have tried Moonshots, Axioms, Mage et all. These two are simply easier to wick and more flavorful.

So that's it - my year end roundup. Remember, these are my personal opinions. You most certainly can and probably will find some of my choices debatable. That is great. That is what vapors should do. Be critical of the gear and devices. Enjoy.

Thanks! I especially like how you approve of the IM. It means a lot since you've tried them all, pretty much. Plus, it gives others extra incentive other than just listening to me drool over it all the time.

I really want to try the Iron Maiden but just how bad is that overhand on the IPV6 or 8? Is it annoying. I love my LP because in SS the engraving is fantastic. Yes, pretty over function comes into play with my decision making.

You've seen the pics. It is not bad. In fact, I like it a lot because it is very nearly the same width as the mod (an MM, MAYBE 2, overhang. You've seen my pics.

Paul, have you tried the Limitless Classic? Not the original Limitless, the one called "Classic." I find that utterly confusing in the naming convention, I believe it was Don29palms that was talking about how good it is a few weeks ago. From what I'm seeing, it looks like a Limitless Plus with slightly larger juice capacity (6.9ml vs. 6.3ml) and interchangeable build decks which is what I really like about it, I like the Double Vision and Phenotype-L so much because they only have one gigantic post hole instead of two smaller ones per post. Just wanted to see if you've tried it, and if so, how it compares to the Limitless Plus.

I asctually meant the Limitless Classic and not the Limitless Plus - I get confused sometimes - I'm old.

RE: Which RTA should I get? updated Dec 13/16
My latest treasure has been the Sherman Tank RTA. I was lucky enough to get on a list at a local shop that was importing 50 of them. For the size of it 28 mm it has tremendous flavor and also has the ability to produce thick dense clouds of vapor. Build deck is massive and can handle HUGE coils, 5 mm is easily done. I'm running 4mm SS stagger fused Clapton coils 6 wraps spaced which ohms out nicely @ .15. They provide a very nice vape at 100 watts. Airflow on the Sherman is restricted a bit but is still very adequate. Wicking this beast is relatively simple ..use a lot of cotton and rake it out nice and fluffy. I have no trouble with leaking or the wick not keeping up. I can chain vape the hell out of it and not get a dry hit. The Sherman is a real game changer. It comes with spare parts, big beefy flat head screws on the build deck, two drip tips one SS, and a nice tapered Delrin which are compatible with Unholy, Kennedy, and Goon. The machining is very high quality and very clean  I think the only cons I see with the Sherman is that the stock tanks are a plastic material but there are Ultem tanks for the Sherman available at Carrack supplies. I love my big RTA's like my Mason 40 mm as well, but sadly it is a little too large and freakish for a daily carry !! lol.  If you can get your hands on one You will most likely enjoy it, I have not heard anyone complain about it yet other than the material used for the tanks. TOP NOTCH RTA for sure.
