RE: Which RTA should I get? updated Aug 28/16
No problem with that Tin. It is a fine RTA. Look at the latest update if you want to see what is the best of the high ends though. Unfortunately there are really two classes of RTAs. You go for intense flavor at lower watts or you blow clouds that fill a room at high watts. Now you will get flavor at high watts but honestly the smaller RTAs with smaller chambers condense the flavor and you get smaller thick clouds and use much less juice. I've slowly been moving back towards the small RTAs and the higher end ones. Now the high end RTAs can be a bit bigger but most are not near as big as the new kids on the block like the Supreme, VCMT, Griffin 25, Boreas or the Modfather, Scottua and Dumptank.

I guess we all have to see what path we will follow.

The inside out thing looks a nice piece of kit. Considering the guy in the video made it, and I take my hat off to him for that, his coiling is f'ing awful! Haha

A just don't like refilling as much. So what's your favorite cloud chucking RDA? Yes, RDA.

As a complete novice I ask, wouldn't these dump tanks cause your mod to fall over?  all the juice spill out? You'd really have to love the juice you put in it.

On another note, if some novice were interested in messing with building, would a 30mm deck be the way to go?

In fact, if some one was interested in starting to build RTAs, what do you suggest for a fumbled fingered novice?

A 30mm atty wouldn't necessarily give a nice vape from 'normal' coils. They're designed with cloud chasing in mind.
You'd do best with any 22mm two post.

Since you have a tank you like, for now start maybe with an RDA. Fewer parts to assemble, great way to get into DIY. Plus, RDA's are a lot of fun. Oh, and generally cheaper.

Not when your favorite RDAs are Tugboat V1.5, Petri V2, Fuel V2 and Phenotype L. Siiighhh

The Clieto has an RTA kit, would making it an RDA still be preferable?  I've looked over the deck, and I think my only challenge would be to wick it correctly.  I'll start with some premade coils, the kit comes with "2 x Pre-installed 0.35 - 0.45ohm Clapton Coils" so I'll buy a package of those while I get wire and kit.

I think all you're doing is converting the deck from pre-made to DIY, but still using the same tank setup, not actually converting it to an RDA.

For the curious ... .43 ohms at 52.5 watts on the Cleito with all the add ons. To note: it took me two tries to wick it right first time. It needs a lot of cotton. Otherwise it leaks. No dry hits even stuffed with cotton.
