RE: What's your everyday vape juice?
When I bought my Charlie's Custard and Commodore Pearry last Friday, estimated delivery was tomorrow. Checked the mail today expecting bills, and who's there waiting for me? Charlie in a sexy, yellow bubble wrap envelope. Oh, Charlie, you tease!! Let's get you out of that envelope, you bad boy you....

Well. I guess a wasted a little more money. This Japanese cotton. I have to admit, it does create a cleaner flavor, but its nearly impossible to work with. I just wrapped a 2.5mm coil, and I could not feed the Japanese cotton through the coil. If you pull on one end it rips. You have to make a 3.0mm macro coil to use it. What I ended up doing is stuffing the cotton under and around the coil instead of through it.

Well my brothers and sisters, I nearly fell upon the sin of temptation. For behold the wandering stranger, for he came in the guise of a 70 year old man with a cigar in his mouth. Listen to me brothers and sisters, the demon allowed the foul odor of his cigar to waft across my nostrils, as if to say, Go now..your cigar shop is only 5 minutes from here. But I say to you my friends, I stood toe to toe with the demon geriatric man, went home and paid homage to the god Charlie Noble, and i was redeemed. Can I get an amen? Biggrin

I would be lying if I said I wasn't tempted. That cigar smelled goooooood. The price of one cigar that would last maybe 5 hours, can buy a bottle of juice that would last probably a week or more. It's a no brainer.

Temptation is not the sin; giving IN is! You done well, Jerry!

I’m in LOVE with Charlie Noble’s Commodore Pearry already. Between it and Custard alone, I’m more impressed with C.N. than any line I’ve tried thus far. I don’t get how they manage to keep prices so low AND offer free shipping compared to other premium lines. Hell, his 30mls are cheaper than many of my $#!tty local house juices! I’m afraid we’re going to find out it’s made with something disgusting-yet-plentiful, like public restroom mop water, or he uses child-labor in his mixing lab. Not that I’d stop buying if either or both of those turned out to be true, I just adhere to the old adage “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is,” so I’m dying to know what the angle is here…

RE: What's your everyday vape juice?
The costs of making juice are pretty low. The capital overheads (clean rooms do not come cheap - start at several tens of thousands of dollars) are pretty high to start up but many premium juices are wildly overpriced IMO.

My most expensive juice costs me $18 to make 100ml (24mg nicotine) and that is buying everything (nic, PG, VG, flavours, bottles, labels) retail and includes shipping costs. I could make a profit selling 100ml of that for $30.

My ADV costs about $6 for 100ml at 4mg nicotine. This recipe is being sold at 4-10x the ingredient and consumable costs.

DIY juice is cheap, easy and fun IMO. But my first degree was in chemistry.

RE: What's your everyday vape juice?
Yeah, I REALLY want to try DIY-ing; I got “C”s in chemistry, so I can’t say it’d be for the love of the chemical reactions, but I AM an artist, and love creating in almost any form. I just don’t know where to begin! Jerry was kind enough to share a link where he got his start, and I’m sitting on a cart full of stuff on their website right now, I just haven’t pulled the trigger for fear that, it might be money better spent on those who’re already doing it well enough, i.e.: Charlie Noble. Same reason I don’t hunt, because my local grocery store sells pre-murdered chickens and cows saving me to dirty work! Still, the prospect of mad scientist-ing it up and maybe even making something GOOD is too good to pass up. Who knows, maybe this time next year, you’ll be investing in the premium “X1” line!
