RE: What's your Vaping story?
I started smoking like many of you all at around 15 yrs old. I've smoked now for over 25 years, quitting cold turkey for 1-2 years several times, but always starting back up again for one reason or another.  The cravings for me never go away

I've smoked 2+ppd for the last few years that i have smoked, and before that 1-2 packs a day.  The funny thing is I never experienced any breathing problems or other side effects. I played tennis everyday for several hours, and felt fine.  THen unrelated health issues came out of nowhere, and I knew it was time to stop tempting fate and quit for good.

Last year I met a friend who has a vape shop and I immediately decided to give it a try. I was impressed how much better and more satisfying ecigs had become. I purchased a few mods, attys, and lots of juice and away I went excited that this might really work. Then the search for the perfect juice began, and sheesh that was so hard to find. It seemed I didnt like anything for more than a day. Thats when i decided to try DIY.

DIY has helped me a lot. Not only making flavors more to my liking, but also it's become a huge distraction, that has helped me tremendously.

The cravings for me are always there and I tend to chain vape often rather than give in.  I was talking to someone on another forum who told me about WTA's and I am hoping this will be effective for me. I always thought it was only the nicotine in cigs that was addictive, but after reading up on WTAs I learned that for some its more than that. Hopefully this will be my answer

...to be continued after I give it a try

I never had any adverse health effects either, at least none that required medical attention. It was only after I switched to vaping that I realized how much better I feel when not smoking...

Glad to have you aboard, and hope you get comfortable. There's not a single stupid question anywhere to be found here. And no one is ridiculed for any reason.

Lexie - it might take you a wee while to understand some ''forum'' things. There are a lot of great things on this forum as well as vaping[Image: smile.gif].

Welcome to the forum, Lexie. There is tons of very valuable vaping knowledge to be found here. And of course nice work on finally getting rid of the cigs and finding this exciting new hobby/past time!
