RE: What's bad about high watt vaping?
Okay so it went from .7 to .98 to 1.1 and I figured it was time to take it apart. I unwicked it, readjusted the coil, cut my fingers up a little, and now it's down to .56, which is close enough for me and it fires evenly. Does anyone know why it would just suddenly change like that? I cleaned the entire thing, and took out the coil and put it back in, my friend was supposed to give me an rda but never came to my house to give it to me and I'm on house arrest so I can't go to his house (which is also why I can't just go buy coils or whatever I need) hopefully it won't change again in the next like 10 hours and he can bring me a better rda. The cotton also looked burnt but that shouldn't have been possible and it didn't taste dry, but maybe I wicked it too tight...

Edit: I didn't feel like posting again cause I've made like 3 separate posts lol but I think I did wick it too tight before, only the outside was burnt, not all of it, i keep forgetting I can't really chain vape like I do with my tanks cause this doesn't absorb the juice fast enough. Also my build is from A1 Kanthal.

Your .5 coil would be best at 30w, 50-60 is far too high. Sounds like a lose connection giving haywire resistance readings. Check and tighten all the connections/screws from the 510+ pin to the coil.

Don't forget to apply for the freecycle section!

I've never seen anything that would take a 30mm coil. That atty must be huge. Can you post a picture?  What kind of mod are you using that atty on?

Reminiscent of the movie Sleeper where they are passing around the small pleasure ball then later in the movie woody is wrapped around the huge pleasure ball.

RE: What's bad about high watt vaping?
I wound a pair 4.0MM ID SS316 TW Claptons. Haven't tried to mount it yet; probably needs to go on the Buddha v3. With the springiness of SS, these things are pretty silly looking. I moved them out of my way and have now misplaced them. I want to take a pic of them next to normal coils.

RE: What's bad about high watt vaping?
Here is a picture of my current rdta coil, and the coil I'm going to attempt to clean today. I didn't realize the coil was this bad, but the one on my Dripper has like a hint of dryer sheet taste that's really weird, I'm just using organic cotton balls (unbleached) and unrolling them for the coil. The only way to get that to go away is use this really weird tasting juice, although since the flavor isn't very good on this coil, it isn't as bad as my normal coils. 30w is too cool of a vape for me, I like warmish Vapes and 30 is more cool than I like, thanks for the tip anyhow though! Any tips to build a better coil? This is the only wire I have, pre-made by geek vape...
