RE: What have you got on order ?
You're doing OK. You lack the age factor (by a LONG way, haha).

I think there should be a consolidation of teminology, especially since most people see only cigalikes, tanks, and RDA's. That RBA term is really whack because it covers both tanks and drippers. Maybe DA and TA (since really, aren't all drippers build-only?)

RE: What have you got on order ?
Yeah that would make sense. I doubt if we could get the rest of the vaping world on board with us though. It's fun to say RDA and everyone's used to it. But yeah, I rarely use the other terms. There's RDAs, tanks (meaning pre-built coil heads), RTAs, and RBA decks. I hardly ever even say "atty" anymore, unless I intentionally want to be vague.

Man, I have learned a lot on this forum, and still so much to learn.  Dripping is up there after juice making and coil building.  I did know you had to modify an "atty" to drip, but I've never seen one.

You don't modify an atty to drip. You get an RDA.

RE: What have you got on order ?
RDAs are specifically made for dripping: there's not a way to modify a normal tank into a dripping atty (Atty is just short for "atomizer" btw). If you look over at the "How do you dip yer wick?" thread you'll see mostly RDAs. Or, you can look at my signature and see a bunch of RDAs with builds that I'm proud of. Basically, an RDA is like a bigger version of the coil head that you screw into a tank: it's just a couple posts with holes in them that you connect wire to, then add some wick, put some juice on that wick, pop the top cap on and vape.
I think you're confusing "modify" with "build." RDAs are made for dripping so they don't need modification, but they do need built. Building an RDA just means making the coils by wrapping some wire, then installing them in the RDA and adding wick to hold juice.

RE: What have you got on order ?
I've about given up on FastTech. Few months ago I cancelled an order and had to get the refund in a gift certificate. No big deal, I figured I'd buy something from them again eventually. So then last time I made an order from them, their site wasn't working with PayPal for some reason, and apparently once a gift card is applied to an order you can't use it after that, even if the order didn't go through. So I had to wait a few weeks for them to re-activate my gift card that I hadn't been able to use. Then tonight, I tried to place another order using a credit card, figured I'd learn from my previous mistake by using a credit card instead of PayPal to avoid any potential problems. But no, their payment server is down and it tells me "please use PayPal." Which of course made my gift card appear used even though I once again hadn't had an opportunity to use it.

So basically, they're holding my $40 hostage and no matter what I do, I can't get it to work, and if I can somehow ever get an order placed with them that actually goes through with the gift card, I don't think I'll ever use them again. This is just so fucking ridiculous.

For now, I've got a Panzer DNA200, Double Vision clone, and some battery shrink wrap on the way from FT. So maybe it'll get here sometime in about fifty years. After it's gone past Saturn and Uranus.

I can't imagine shipping from China.  Or customer service from China.  If it takes 8 days to get something from CA to Uranus to TX, I can't imagine starting in China.

Yeah, waiting on their customer service is like waiting for a pair of snails to race from Beijing to Mt. Everest.

Waiting on their shipping is more like waiting for that same pair of snails to race from Beijing to Mt. Everest by way of Minsk.

We can complain all we want but it is ALL OF US who are to blame, there it is up to us to do something about it - even if it's to do NOTHING!

Everyone knows that the majority of manufacturing of electronics is from China. (or from somewhere in that region)

I shop a fair bit online and specially with Amazon it states "sold by 1234 and filled by Amazon" which really means "you'll get in next day if you have prime or a few days if you aren't in a hurry -- then there is the "we ship within 24 hours and ETA is 17-28 days"... realistically you can 2X the waiting time....one of these days I will post an email from customer service from one of these items I purchased and it was clear that customer service used a cheap version of a translation software...seriously, I'm almost tempted to order from them again just for the comedic transaction....I even used it as an ice breaker in a conference session a few months ago.....had some folks in tears....
