I've just checked the charger and one has the green light on and is luke warm the rest are cold but still with the red lights

RE: What did you get today?
They're OK (NiMH) up to say 45-50C (110-120F) though I prefer them a good bit cooler. Modern NiMH cells (Especially LSD(Low Self Discharge) ones) contain a very small amount of water and if this gets boiled off they irrecoverably lose capacity.

Lukewarm is not an issue, hot is.

There's a ton of useful information here. And easy to find.

Those guys have likely forgotten more than I've ever known.

RE: What did you get today?
The new charger arrived today.

At first sight, it is very similar in operation to the Opus BT-C3100.

Slots 1 and 4 will take D cells. But there is no way you are getting anything fatter than an 18650 in the middle slots with two D cells in the outer slots. I doubt you'd even get a 20mm cell in there with D's in the outer slots.

It should happily take 4 26650s, but I only own two of them...

But if I need to charge a lot of cells at once, I have a lot of chargers.

With just the ones to hand, I could charge over fifty cells simultaneously. If I were to search the house for other chargers, the number would be rather larger.

Got a new tyre pressure and tread gauge. These things are all digital now and small enough to be a key ring - which mine is - now[Image: tongue.gif]. Nifty little thing.

RE: What did you get today?
Here's a quick clip of the charger doing its discharge thing.

Since the discharge rate is 500mA and these cells claim "13800mAh" according to their wrappers...

RE: What did you get today?
The wrappers lied.

Do NOT buy any GTL branded cell/battery. Even by Chinese standards a 400% overstatement of capacity is taking the piss.

I own 35 year old and brutally abused 4000mAh NiCd D cells that can do better.
