That is true. In my case (Apricot TPA) it is definitely like a flavor bomb. Takes over everything else as soon as it is detonated into the mix, but dissipates fairly quickly as well.

RE: What did you get today?
Yes - flavour drops away dramatically within a few weeks - the same with Plum and Peach - I have given up on stone fruits.

I haven't given up like permanently, but they are not high on the list at the moment. The fact that they are either too strong early or too weak later makes them too volatile to use. Perhaps a natural extraction is the way to go.

Got an SXK Artoo clone.

At first sight, no oily smell, clean looking.

It comes with a squonk pin and has a slightly unusual deck.

The airflow appears to be fixed but a bit of tape will sort that.

They didn't waste any time with the milling inside the cap...

It's a nice small dripper. I find that, in general, the smaller the dripper the better the taste. It is 0.8662" in diameter which is 22.001mm. Height is (excluding 510 and 510 drip tip) 0.5509" which is 14mm. With the drip tip it is 0.8319" or 21.13mm.

Who knew that an Imperial micrometer measuring to 1/10,000" could be fun Smile

RE: What did you get today?
What wasn't obvious (to me) from the pics is that one of the posts is slotted, the other one is a blind hole so you have to cut one leg to size before fitting the coil.

Got it built.

It is a little too airy for me, it can do restricted DTL and I can't see a way to turn the air down. A bit of tape will soon sort that.

Flavour is good but there is essentially no juice well so it'll need squonking more often.

I think it'd make a great tasting atty as it is very simple to wick.

The drip tip (IMO) is too short but that is easily enough fixed. It is a pity though as the supplied drip tip is really nice but is asking for burnt lips even at fairly low wattages. I have it with a 1.12 ohm Kanthal coil (8 wraps on 3mm) and using 25W.

RE: What did you get today?
It is highly unlikely to leak as the airflow is from the top. You'd have to squonk in about 5ml to make it leak.

Promptly fitted the squonk pin and threw in a simple 8 wrap 0.42mm Kanthal coil on a 3mm former. That gives me 1.16 ohms once pinched and preened and persuaded to heat up from the centre out. It seems to work fine with 4 of the air holes open on the Ammit (Which is a single coil device) at 25W. Wicked with Muji cotton. It matches the Wraith mod quite nicely.

Steam Engine recommends 28 but 25 is fine for me as I like a tightish draw. It is also pretty cloudy which is a problem when your desk is under an optical smoke detector.

Flavour is good, clouds are more than expected. If you MTL this one is recommended.

However, that long 510 drip tip is far too restrictive. I replaced it with one of my favourite acrylic tips and it is just nicer. At the moment the acrylic tip is on the Artoo and the shortly but pretty drip tip from the Artoo is working nicely on the Ammit. Which is a taller atty and doesn't get as hot as the 14mm tall Artoo.

The over-restrictive drip tip from the Ammit works very nicely on the Artoo.

RE: What did you get today?
So I got this set up as a gift ... Helo RTA and SX minin SL stabwood ...

My review is also up ... the SX mini SL has a really complicated menu system. So many options. But you can just use it on watts in novice mode (fine for me). It is very responsive, well built, beautiful to look at ... well it's an SX mini right?

RE: What did you get today?
I had a great mail day! I got a VooPoo UForce T1 tank, Vaporesso Transformer rda, Vaporesso Doubloon tank, and a Vaporesso Castor mega rdta...all for $30. I already have a UForce tank so I didn’t mess with that or the Doubloon but I put the Transformer with BF pin on my DripBox2 which was way better than the stock rda and the Castor I had to play with because I’ve never used an rdta and while the flavor is good you can’t chain vape on it. All in all I’ll call it a win!
