RE: What did you get today?
I got some kind of Wisdom I guess?

I'm right now vaping on with a 1 Ohm Microcoil in my Ammit 22 with 13Watts ... DL with minimal Airflow opened ... Shok (I used to rock that little fella with around 35 Watts @ ~ .4 & full Airflow opened)
All that happend because of a random situation this morning with my 22 sq dead rabbit ...
It's amazing! I don't understand it ... But it is ... It is ... A gift! Yahoo

RE: What did you get today?
Hey, I remember once when I was a poor kid growing up... I really wanted a bike!!! But 'Santa' couldn't afford it. My mum actually told me Santa only has so much money to make all the toys, and big things like bikes were very hard to come by indeed!!!

Anyway, I actually won a church raffle (I was maybe 10?) and it was a whopping $75! That was plenty to buy a bike. I told my parents they could please send it to Santa so I could finally get my bike. They agreed.

I was so excited for Christmas that I probably didn't sleep since Halloween. Well, Christmas came, and that morning I raced out to the tree- only to find the usual sparse little packages. No problem, I figured; mom and dad surely saw the bike under the tree and simply hid it to surprise me at the end.

Well, I never got the bike. I asked them what happened because SURELY Santa wouldn't just take my money and stiff me. They said he must have, and they were very upset with Santa. Even encouraged me to write him a letter asking for an explanation; after all, I did pay for a bike and of course, kids shouldn't have to pay for Santa's gifts. I never got an answer from the old bastard. I remembered it and often reminded my parents about it. They knew I was disappointed (to say the least). I was out not only a bike, but seventy-five real dollars!! That was a bummer.

I found out a few years later that my parents used the money on bills. Like I said, we was dirt poor and it wasn't until I was around 12 or so that I started to realize that. When I was younger I was very mad at them for the deception. I do understand now, because you have to do what you can to survive and provide for the family, but that is one of the things I think about when I spoil my kids today. Probably why they have three game systems and their own little TV's.

Looking back, that parental warping is probably one reason I am such a freaking weirdo.

I have had some similar situations happen to me as well, repeatedly. Dodgy

My kid is also spoiled rotten. She is 12 and has a smartphone, a smart TV, a PC, art tablet for PC, too many things that I would have loved to be able to have. It is terrible, but it feels good to give her things, even if I have to take them away constantly. Blush

RE: What did you get today?
I have a million of them. But all that crap ended when I heeded the wise words of my father, who knew he could not provide much, but still knew to insist that I get the best education and strongest vocabulary possible. I can't remember how many times he told me to 'always do better for your kids that your parents'. He had a rough and unfair start to his life, and was never given the chance to succeed. Yet, he did. He was orphaned and abandoned, so the strong family life he gave us was indeed better than his parents did. And he chose to measure my 'better' in financial terms, probably because that was a rather easy goal compared to my childhood.

Hey, getting pretty deep around here!!! Back to the breast and bike talk, eh?

RE: What did you get today?
First of all: Thanks for sharing the Story TW. I know that kind of feelings back then in my childhood.. I think everyone knows that kind of feelings at some point (more or less) ...

I just finished with the Bike ...

Welp >_> where should I begin ...

It arrived, then I unpacked everything and mounted the front wheel... I went then to the local bikeshop to buy a stand for the Bike, but somehow they didn't had a original Cube stand (it's the only that fits on the bike) ... I picked up there a bell and cat eyes (you need it here in Germany when you drive on a road) ... Well then I found a dealer of Cube Bikes and called him, he had the stand there ... Okay, so well I drove there and got the last stand of that Kind (thanks god!) I also bought a Helmet then there ... Big Grin in matching colors hehehe to have that matchy matchy when I ride it ... Big Grin

When I came back home, I installed everything (The Stand,Mudflaps,Bell,Light) and went through every single bolt, I adjusted the handlebar and the Seat ... Then I tryed to adjust the front brakes, but have to do it tomorrow again (it is grinding a little bit)... Big Grin

Now ... I'm done the whole Day went for the Bike and the adjusting but I'm glad I did it!! Big Grin
I didn't even had time to try it out ... Welp tomorrow I will do it because there will be some fine tuning in the first ride (I know that) .. And that's why I will need time hehe Big Grin

Here are some Pictures just for you my peepz Smile First when I finished the first mounts then when I was done .. Big Grin And there are some more down below ... Big Grin And there is the matchy matchy helmet Sarcastic
