How can they even make them for that??

Wait until he uses them. Then we'll know... They'll snap like Eddie's bones.

In normal use they won't. I just stood on a pair to see what would happen. They're still fine. And I weigh over 200lb.

I've no doubt I could break them, ceramic is brittle after all. But they are going to withstand being bunged in with the rest of my build kit.

Talking of which, thanks to Skyray who found the eBay link for them.

Unless they're 'ceramic styled tweezers'...

They don't melt or burn when hit with a flame. I tried.

So it isn't made of compressed cardboard.

That is definitely not expected behaviour. I don't have the C4-12 but the C2-6 which certainly does not behave like that. Mike (gently) has this charger though.

You can get the internal resistance reading to vary easily enough, I'd not be too worried about that. It does depend on how carefully you insert them.

I'm not entirely sure how the 3A charge rate is done but it doesn't heat the cells up. Which will age them fast. It does stop to measure the internal resistance during the charge. This may be how it keeps the cells so cool.

In general, the discharge is going to wear the cells out faster at vaping currents than the charging. I'd not be too bothered by the 3A rate though in general I'd not charge cells at more than their mAh rating. So for a 3000mAh cell 3A charging should be fine. By the time the cell reaches a measured capacity of around 2400mAh it is worn out.

In general I'd choose to charge at an amp but if I want a cell at least an hour faster then I'll happily use the 3A rate. I must experiment with how completely it charges cells, but it doesn't seem to cause a shorter vaping time than my cells charged on anything else.
Jap I will send it back. Going out tomorrow this bay.

But I can say I just found a pair of HG2's which are worn out, they both have 75% of their Capacity reached -> Sorted out instantly.

Yeah 1 Amp should do the Job I guess, 3A is a bit on the higher side but for a quick charge sometimes just in case ...

I will test this one out on fresh HG2's <- 2 of them I gonna charge at 1A and 2 of them at 2A and 2 of them at 3A .. I gonna look up how much Cycles ~ they will get .. I vape always at the nearly same Wattage / Resistance so it could be a pretty good Real-Situation test without a lot of measurings etc.

When my ceramic tweezers arived i thought they were my mixing supplies , the ebay seller mailed them in a bubble envelope in a box in bubble wrap in yet another box . Guess he wanted them to arive safely

Why be normal when wierd is so much fun.

RE: What did you get today?
It's best to mark the cells in some way so you can tell them apart. I just stick numbers on mine.

It would be interesting to see what happens over time.

I'd try charging the worn out cells at a low rate, say 100mA-300mA then try discharging them to see if that gives a better capacity. But always discharge them as fully as you can before disposing of them. I also tape over the terminals so they can't be shorted out before putting them for recycling.

Jep I will mark them too (I did that before too but not for Statistics)

Yes I will do it with the charging on low rate I read that a lot when it comes to awake worn out cells, anyway I gonna try it out.
That is good that you do it I will do it the same way when I recycle them (Thought too about the shorts that can happen when you recycle them)

If they are like Eddie's bones they will last forever - just don't squeeze them too hard[Image: tongue.gif].
