Personally I would never charge at more than 1amp.

I think too that I won't charge often on higher Amps but 0,5A was really a bit low ... But this Channel 2 bothers me .... It shows a Internal Resistance wrong when I charge two Batterys at the same time (Checked it out on the other slot where it matches the other Internal Resistances of the same Batterys ... It is a nice Charger this Miboxer but I somehow have the feeling that something is wrong with mine .. But let's wait until Don arrives, it's a simple thing just to send this guy back tommorow and get the money back or the same sended again.

RE: What did you get today?
Sounds faulty to me.

That is definitely not expected behaviour. I don't have the C4-12 but the C2-6 which certainly does not behave like that. Mike (gently) has this charger though.

You can get the internal resistance reading to vary easily enough, I'd not be too worried about that. It does depend on how carefully you insert them.

I'm not entirely sure how the 3A charge rate is done but it doesn't heat the cells up. Which will age them fast. It does stop to measure the internal resistance during the charge. This may be how it keeps the cells so cool.

In general, the discharge is going to wear the cells out faster at vaping currents than the charging. I'd not be too bothered by the 3A rate though in general I'd not charge cells at more than their mAh rating. So for a 3000mAh cell 3A charging should be fine. By the time the cell reaches a measured capacity of around 2400mAh it is worn out.

In general I'd choose to charge at an amp but if I want a cell at least an hour faster then I'll happily use the 3A rate. I must experiment with how completely it charges cells, but it doesn't seem to cause a shorter vaping time than my cells charged on anything else.

See? I think secretly Don is an android, powered by 18650 cells. He just knows everything.

Tongue

Nah, just a guy who has been reading this stuff for about 14 years. And knows who to listen to. Henrik on http://www.lygte-info.dk has forgotten more than I'll ever know about electronics, batteries and chargers.

Other than that, I measure what I can. And try to figure out the reliability of my measurements.

RE: What did you get today?
I got two pairs of ceramic tipped tweezers about a month earlier than expected. China Post seems to be doing a lot better than it once did. At the massive cost of $3.32US delivered for the two pairs.

That is very true. My last three FT orders veritably flew here. And my Rabbits are already in Chicago. That whole e-packet thing is working out quite well these days.

How can they even make them for that??

Don't forget to apply for the freecycle section!

Wait until he uses them. Then we'll know... They'll snap like Eddie's bones.
