RE: What did you get today?
Got my Taifun GT from FT. Had the SS tank for a while now, and yes, it fits like a charm

Built it up with a chimney coil, 3 wraps of twisted 28g kanthal. Stuffed around the coil with cotton, and stuck some rat tails out the sides.
Filled it up with the cheap Hangsen Honey 16mg. Guessing its probably at least 80pg, probably more. Didnt want to waste the Mt Baker stuff if it didnt work out good...

Its working really, really good right now. But I am waiting for it to flood out and get gurgly

Side note: The Taifun GT on the Roller in 18650 is HUGE

Also, I really, really like this Taifun drip tip it came with

RE: What did you get today?
It looks great, but looks like a freaking light saber with the side switch and all haha

Also, I am not using one of the restricter tubes in the air inlet

Yeah, I just pulled the tube out and bagged it. Not had any issues. The taifun/roller is possibly my favorite tanked set up, I'm now wondering about a squape but I've heard it needs a drill taking to the air hole....

RE: What did you get today?
Speaking of the Squape, mine arrived yesterday.  Farging gorgeous looking piece of hardware!  Immediate negative was that it didn't come with the allen wrench for the chimney or the extra post screws.  Oh well, no biggie, I found that if I jammed the tip of my index finger into the chimney chamber I could twist the top cap right off and vice-versa.  Having heard of all the problems with the more expensive "A" version from FT (I ordered it the first day it hit their inventory) from those who received theirs before I got mine, the first thing I did was check for shorts and continuity from the 510 pin to the positive post.  Everything looked good.  W00T!

Tore it down and cleaned it, built it with a micro coil and cotton wick (easiest device to build on that I've ever tried), filled it with juice and Holy crap!  What an awesome vape!  I now see why people are going squape-shit over this thing.  Instantly my favorite device.

My euphoria lasted only about 5-10 minutes before it simply stopped working.  Got back home and took off the base immediately to test it.  No shorts in it but no continuity between the 510 pin and the positive post.  F#CK!  Opened a ticket with FT immediately and they have already discontinued the SKU I purchased because of all the issues everyone is having with it.  They are waiting on a supply of quality replacement bases for it and will ship me a replacement base as soon as they arrive.

Squape(B) from FT is not only 3-4 dollars cheaper but there are no reported issues with it at all.  I will be ordering one of those ASAP because I absolutely fell in love with the look, build quality, performance, and heft of it.  I just hope at least some who ordered the original version have better luck than the rest of us who's units arrived DOA or DSAA (Dead Shortly After Arrival).  I still recommend getting one but make sure you get version B.

That's a bummer! any idea or suspicions as to what's causing the loss of continuity?

RE: What did you get today?
Some folks believe it's the 510 pin in the atty.  They have removed and replaced it with success.  Trouble is it's hard to pull out and may or may not be threaded.  I need to fuck with it.  I'd like to save it and get it working until the replacement comes in so I will need to be very careful and do some more research on it.

RE: What did you get today?
Must see the electricians at work tomorrow and see if I can scrounge some offcuts of heavy copper wire. A foot or so will last me more or less forever and will make nice 510 pins, hybrid pins and the like. The nice thing about copper is it is soft and easy to shape and cut.

RE: What did you get today?
Got a Poldiac clone. First impressions, it's nice

Second impressions, it goes nicely with the Taifun GT and its steel tank.

It's pretty heavy but what it really needs is a long Expromizer on top Smile

RE: What did you get today?
Very nice, Don!  I've been running my Squape on my Poldiac and loving it.  I managed to get my Squape working once again.  Don't you have one on order?  Any idea when it will arrive?
