It was wonderful, but is now sitting in my stomach like a concrete bowling ball.

Is that the same thing called "plum pud"? Growing up my best friends mom made something called plum pud....

That's the one. Though plums aren't always involved. It is a very dense fruit pudding with nuts and usually a high alcohol content.
Hi Don - How do you mean ''usually''[Image: tongue.gif]. If it has not got a high alcohol content you are onto plums anyway[Image: smile.gif]

As a smart alec I remember asking why it was called "plum" when it had raisins - I was told by his mom (I swear the woman never cracked a smile in all of those years) that it would be stupid to call it "raisin pud".... Tongue

In the seventeenth century it seems that raisins were known as plums.

Or so the home of everything apocryphal claims.

RE: What did you get today?
Speaking of plums, I always thought "sugar plums" were plums rolled in sugar. This year I learned that:

A sugar plum is a piece of dragée or hard candy made of hardened sugar in a small round or oval shape.

"Plum" in the name of this confection does not mean plum in the sense of the fruit of the same name, but referred to small size and spherical or oval shape. According to The Atlantic Monthly, traditional sugar plums contained no fruit, but were instead hardened sugar balls.

There is also the sugar plum fairy[Image: tongue.gif]. Nice piece of music.

RE: What did you get today?
Fairy Farts ejuice

Bavarian Cream 3%
Cheesecake (Graham Crust) 5%
Blueberry 9%
Sweet Cream 3%
Vanilla Custard 2%

Now when you tell someone you enjoy fairy farts - you won't get locked up for quite as long! Smile

Oh yeah, that's right! I liked the original version of that game, what was it, 25 years ago? Anyway yep, now I'm imagining little blocks rotating all over too.
