RE: What did you get today?
Thus far, on the basis of a couple of hours of vaping, the lock ring is useless, but with the Kraken on it it doesn't fire when put down. There's a tiny gap between the Kraken base and the mod top, thinner than my thumbnail. The fire button is a little wonky, it leans a bit when put down on its end. The button appears to be adjustable but needs something stronger than my thumbnail to do it.

It comes with 18350 and 18500 tubes as well as the 18650. The 350 tube is quite nice with the Kraken. I bought it used and from the lightness of the threads, it's been well used. I may put some weak thread lock on the fire button and top cap. Clear nail varnish is quite handy for this.

The 510 pin is adjustable so the Krasken now sits flush which is nicer.

Pics in a minute

Pics:
As you can see it doesn't stand up straight. The Kraken with that drip tip is the same length as the 18350 mod.

With the 18650 tube beside. The lean is much more pronounced with the 18650 tube. Not to the point that it falls over but very noticeable.

The switch

Top cap and recessed 510 connector.

The back of the top cap. The nut on the end is removable and allows you to screw the 510 pin in and out.

Not bad looking but nothing really better than anything else of that style.  Appears to be a solid unit.  What is it about the locking ring that makes it useless?

The tail cap unscrews more readily than the locking ring does. Most of them are like that in my experience. It is a little better than some in that it is knurled but it really needs to be larger in diameter than the tube.

You would love the one on the Astro mod.  knurled lock ring is wider than the tube or switch and you can roll it with your pinky easily and it's not too loose or too tight.  It's just right! Big Grin

Just put one in my cart. A brass one. Now I'm going to need some more atomisers. I want a better dripper.

Just as an FYI...my brass one came with the locking ring jammed up solid.  It's not reverse threaded either.  Mine appeared to have been cranked on the wrong way by someone during assembly.  Had to use two pairs of pliers to force it loose.  Then I had to grind out the gouges and scratches and polish the hell out of it with a rotary tool to make it look presentable.  I'm still disillusioned with the brass one since that happened.  I love the stainless one though!  Oh, and the stainless one has proper reverse threaded locking ring if that matters any to you.  It's doesn't to me but just a heads up. Wink

RE: What did you get today?
The cart currently contains about 6 more mods that atties. And my current set has an equal number of mods and atties.
So recommendations for silly cheap atties wanted.

V5 4 hole foggy This one is nice I have it
SEE EDIT BELOW on this one

V10 have this one also and it has a nice sized hole and hits good, also looks like the stanley cup. I have a .7 ohm twisted coil on it and it chucks some vapor

Patriot Foggy have this one ordered and its on the slow boat and also it is 22mm

IGO-W Sun version I have this one and it is nice and hits good also, but needs a bigger air hole. Also only has one air hole on the opposite side of the sun so for dual coil it would need a hole drilled in to the sun

Patriot 22mm Want this one, will get it soon. Would look good on the JM mod you posted about IMO

Gold Patriot 22mm Have this one on order and should be hitting the post soon. It has 2 holes that are in the correct place as to not mess up the design ready for dual coils but i am sure they need drilling out though. Also like the drip tip

OMEGA 22mm it has a devilish price and from what spas and JM say it is wonderful. Have this one ordered just waiting for it to be shipped which should be next week

V5 Stainless Nimbus 4 hole Looks nice and cheap price

Hope this helps you out Don.

EDIT - after using the V5 foggy 4 hole more last night it looks like the holes are to low and if you add a little to much juice it tries to block the holes and juicy when you inhale so maybe not a totally good buy???

Good
