RE: What did you get today?
Today my Wismec RX75W arrived along with my Narda - I have just built a coil 1.5ohm, wicked it and just tried it. Nice amount of vapour - about 3 times the amount of smoke from a cig. I like the way the coil sits in the atty - it is dead centre so great for dripping onto the coil. Flavour is good and the airflow can be shut down to nil - which means I can adjust it to exactly how I want it. All in all I am really pleased with my purchase - it is a nicely thought out design and simple to build - as long as the coil is quite small - it will not take a coil of more than 6 wraps - but who wants one that long anyway. The airflow design is quite clever and is protected from any juice leaking into it - the deck is quite deep as well so you can keep the ends of the wicking quite long.

RE: What did you get today?
Eddie, what gauge wire do you typically use for MTL coils? I'm curious because I've never really made a nice MTL coil for an RDA before, I moved into DTL before I started getting good at making coils. Also I'm tempted to try making a high-resistance single coil clapton to see if that's any good for MTL.

RE: What did you get today?
I use 0.32 (28 gauge ) for around a 1 ohm coil is 6/7 wraps on a 2mm diameter Michael

if at first you don't succeed ,call it version 1.0

RE: What did you get today?
Awesome, thanks mate! I'm thinking I might make a 28/34 clapton to see if that's any good for MTL. Gotta figure out which RDA to put it in for best flavor lol. Most of my RDAs are cloud chasers, but I've got a few good flavor atties around. Maybe the Zenith, I seem to recall that one being a good flavor atty with options for tight airflow.

RE: What did you get today?
Hi Michael - I use 30g with a 2.5 core - about 5 wraps - this gives me a 1.5ohm coil as near as does not matter. The only problem I find is the wire is so thin it is difficult to re-wick without ruining the coil - so I get plenty practice making coils[Image: smile.gif]. With MTL it does not matter if the resistance is not exactly what you aim for you adjust the power accordingly you are always using single coil builds anyway - or at least I do - my coils are too erratic to even attempt a duel coil set up - I tried a few times to set up duel 2ohm coils for a 1ohm resistance but gave up because try as I might I could never get 2 the exact same[Image: tongue.gif].

RE: What did you get today?
Thanks mate! I can't imagine working with 30ga all the time... Unless it was 3-strand twisted 30ga lol. Though I seem to recall recently JohnnyMac gave a challenge saying people should try to build a Genesis and post the results, and I've got a genny lying around that hasn't been used in years...

RE: What did you get today?
Hi Rob - the Siren was to be my next buy so I am interested in how tight the airflow can be - looking forward to your opinion of it.
