RE: What did you get today?
Finally, the IPV5 has arrived at my humble abode.  So did the battery charger I ordered.  Sadly, no batteries.  After shedding a few tears, my accountant gave the go ahead to purchase them locally.  Which would have been great if I didn't live in the land of rednecks, and it wasn't 103 outside.  After 3 stops to tobacco type places that sale vaping supplies, and had no clue about 18650 rechargeable batteries, I went to the head shop.   These guys new what I was talking about but wasn't sure if they had any.  After some searching, and promises a new shipment was supposed to arrive today.  I walked out with their last two 18650s,  one pink and one blue.  I know I should use the same type of batteries together, but it was hard enough to find these.

You can't mix cells, they'd also need to be suitable ampa imr batteries which I highly doubt the pink one will be, given I've never seen a pink vaping cell. Can you tell us the make/model plz, these things are dangerous for real!
Not that it matters, don't use them

RE: What did you get today?
Well sh*t.  I new it was the practice, but I didn't know they had to be same type to work.  The pink is more of light purple.  It looks to be a Samsung.  The blue looks like a different kind of Samsung. I can't seem to find the model on the lable. I'll take them back to the vape shop to see if they got their shipment back and I can exchange them.  Since they were so overpriced, they better exchange them. Much sadness.

RE: What did you get today?
Yeah, sorry b.. it's the most dangerous aspect of vaping and the main thing that HAS to be right.

Genuine cells have their product codes printed down the side, just a bunch of letters and numbers.

If you could also run the 'new stock' by us too. Just incase Good

I doubt I'll ever make this mistake again, one is 2500 amp, the other is 3000, so back they go.  The head shop charges just enough to make me not shop there.  It may be Monday, I don't they are open on Sunday.  Spouse is also convinced cells are used.

RE: What did you get today?
Sorry to hear about the problems. Like Mike said, they do need to be matched, otherwise it can be quite dangerous. They also should really be brand new, bought at the same time and always used together, always charged together, also known as "married." The best cells are Samsung 25R, LG HE2/HE4/HG2, or Sony VTC4. I'd recommend against the Sony though, since they're more likely to be fake and the others are good enough.

RE: What did you get today?
It sounds like you might have a 30q and an older type 25r.. Both are well suited to regulated devices but NOT paired. Can you post a pic?
Do you have a 'fit for purpose' sales law like we do? If so I'd be exploiting it if they don't want to do the exchange.

RE: What did you get today?
That blue one is a Samsung 25R, if you can get a pair of those you'd be golden.

RE: What did you get today?
You'd need to peel the stickers to read the codes, which im guessing youll not want to do yet. I concur the blue one looks 25r, that pink one though???
