I got in the flashlight for my Frankenmoiz mod and also a new DMM it's an Ideal 61-310. Nice heavy leads very accurate and nice for checking ohms with. Works good on tail cap readings too. The Ideal was $10 on evil bay. New no box. I like the rubber sleeve and that it has a thing on the back that swings out so that you can stand it up. Also it beeps when you have continuity. It's replacing my ancient Radio Shack Microntra it had the slides instead of the dial and I kinda miss that but I'll still use it for household stuff.

RE: What did you get today?
It was worth a try. Apparently, according to the FT forums cleaning up the threads can sort it. But then they might have meant recutting the threads.

Yeah,  my threads are butter smooth throughout, cleaning wont help here, the stainless tank is a courser thread.

RE: What did you get today?
It fits my base (But the threads aren't very nice), but not the top cap. Presumably your Taifun came out of the same factory as mine. Did you get yours from Wayne?

RE: What did you get today?
Cant remember who i ordered mine off, compared it to a fasttech one and threads are far smother and full stainless.
Threads should be same. Have you checked threads on the stainless tank? might be a dodgy one?

Good vapemail today!

The Fogatti clone finally arrived. 18350 only. Can't very well oxidise some mesh in here as there are smoke detectors all over the place.
A Kraken clone
Some silica wick
Some perspex bits for the Ithaka
A screwdriver

And in some nearly indestructible packaging was some of Spas' tobacco extract.

RE: What did you get today?
Just got the Fogatti built using 500 mesh SS in a U wick and about an ohm's worth of 0.3mm Kanthal. Flavour is good, I grabbed the first needle-tipped bottle from the box which turned out to be French ice-cream. On another Genesis it had an unpleasant metallic aftertaste which it doesn't appear to have in this.

There is battery rattle with a nipple topped 18350. I wonder if a 50mm cell will fit? Not a chance! Don't own any 50mm cells more than 14mm in diameter so I tossed in an Eneloop to see if it would close. Nope! I reckon with a bit of fiddling with the centre post an 18500 might possibly fit in it.

I reckon you'd have a drill to it in seconds Gords, it's a moderately tight draw with the air holes aligned. It can only be adjusted tighter from there.

It's not a cloud chucker the way I have it, but the parsimonious bit of me sees clouds as wasted juice Smile

It's smaller than I expected - probably because I expected it to be an 18650 hybrid. Just had it built for about ten minutes but i think I like it.

When I took it out of the packet at work, I had a test sook on it and it was like trying to suck a soccer ball through a syringe needle. And it tasted of machine oil. So it got tossed in the ultrasonic with 3 changes of hot water before I tried to build it. If the air holes aren't aligned it may be much less leaky than most Genesis devices on their sides. The Pulse G can empty itself in a couple of minutes on its side.

The tank is plastic, I'd happily throw a few dollars FT's way for a replacement Pyrex tank.

The button's fine - bottom firers just work better for me when they are this small, I'm not so fond of bottom firing on 18650 mods. But I have quite small hands.

I think I like it, but this is about 20 minutes after I got it built so it's early days yet.

I've finally found my big box of O rings so I'll probably build the Ithaka tonight. I've got some os Spas' tobacco extract to test it with.
