RE: What did you get today?
I just fired the Clapton coils at 150W. After ten seconds (It sure will need rewicking after that brutality), the resistance had risen from 0.225 ohms to 0.228 ohms. Which is why you don't use Kanthal for temperature sensing.

The nickel coils in the other DNA vary a bit more than that. After ten seconds at 45W the resistance had gone from 0.159 ohms to 0.295 ohms

I could show some graphs but they would be very boring...

RE: What did you get today?
Interesting.. though for a different reason.

I'd always wondered if part of the reason fused Clapton work so well is the fact that the wrap keeps some of the heat from radiating, causing it to get hotter quicker. That would show in a resist gain test.

Since that was with no airflow (Fired by the Escribe software) - wish I had a sensitive IR thermometer I could point at the coils.

Forgot to post it here, but yesterday I got my Balrog from heavengifts, this thing is really nice, seems to be well made and I really like everything about the mod, I'm still undecided on the tank but it's nice, the vape reminds me of a SubTank, needs to be at medium power settings which is a little low for me.

RE: What did you get today?
Today my Crius RTA arrived from FT. I built it with dual vertical Clapton Chimneys @ 0.3ohms. Vapes like a champ at 55W and up with no dry hits or leaks anywhere. An extremely well thought out RTA and I highly recommend it. Being around $16 IIRC makes it a no-brainer. Super tiny vapor chamber makes for great flavor but limited on build types. I first built it with standard clapton coils @ 0.4ohms but the chimney wouldn't fit over the coils. I then made regular coils and it was still tight getting the chimney on over the coils. I did it but wicking wasn't too great. I redid it one last time with vertical chimney claptons and it all fits with room to spare. Looked it up and it appears to be designed for these and it makes total sense.

Last week I received an authentic Nixon V2, also from FT for under $12. What a fantastic RDA! Not perfect but maybe the closest I've seen so far. Tucking in the wicking can be a bugger but the flavor and AFC are fantastic. Glass cap and silicone drip tip are fantastic. No leaks on this either.
