Recordings of the calls of Western Capercaillies. I have heard a male in the forest above me. They are likely to become extinct in Scotland again (They were reintroduced into Scotland from Sweden in 1782). There are believed to be less than 1,000 of them in Scotland and they need territories of about 100 acres of old forest each.

Back in the day he was a wild lad.

This was one of his favourites.
