The sweet sweet sound of an air conditioner running... It was 85 and freaking humid in here tonight, so it's sweet relief right about now

RE: What are you listening to?
Today, I put my iPod on shuffle just to see how many artists I could recognize. It's harder than you'd think, since I have 7800+ songs in every genre from classical, easy listening, swing, punk rock, heavy metal, 80's hair metal, hip hop, latina, comedy, and just about any other genre you could think of. I found that the hardest to recognize were certain classic rock bands that I don't listen to very often (Rolling Stones, Whitesnake, AC/DC, Guns & Roses, etc) because even though I know some of their most popular songs, many of the more obscure ones sound a lot alike.

Oddly enough, I can recognize every hardcore/metal/screamo song that comes on, just by the sound of the screams.

But back to the subject of the OP, my current playlist (once I took my iPod off shuffle) is composed mainly of Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, The Devil Wears Prada, Breaking Benjamin, Skrillex, and System of a Down. I'm especially enamoured with A7X's album "Hail to the King" and a few select songs by Disturbed (Down With the Sickness, Shout 2000, Indestructible, Ten Thousand Fists).

Basically, a shitload of hard rock and metal. Wink
