RE: What are you listening to?
Right now I'm listening to the airline attendant speaking over the intercom, informing us that we'll be (FINALLY) boarding soon. In a few minutes, I'll be listening to "Rocket Man" by Elton John. And I'm gonna be hiiiiiIIIIGH as a kite by then! (high in the air, not actually high)

WTF!

My brother spent some time at an airbase near Sleaford.

So here's something stranger that used to be just about on a loop in Morningside days.

Or the one that caused some controversy at the time. My brother and the rest of his crew were at an Oxford CND benefit night.

As the pilot of his crew was asked what he'd do after the Bomb got dropped. His answer, "I'd close the bomb bay doors". Followed by a rapid exit.

RE: What are you listening to?
Been up since awful o'clock. Been to a meeting 3 hours away. Which contrary to my expectations was very good, got home, spent 3 hours driving 55 miles to pick up the dogs who had a great time with their honourary mother and her huge dog - who is featured below gracing my oversized gut.

Now got home - and when I'm overtired this gets played on a loop. Given what I do, this is a bit OTT. But it's a great track. Just play it very loud. Eisenstein was a genius.

And it gets worse. This one gets played next. Folks who came to adulthood post 1990 won't understand.

My flatmate through the 90's commanded an anti-tank platoon in Germany (He lost his thyroid gland to a tumour due to being in the wrong place in Germany carrying a rifle when Chernobyl melted). If everything went right and the Air Force choppers actually showed up, his battalion expected to lose 90% in the first 20 minutes of WW3. By the time his division had taken 90% casualties it would have gone nuclear.

The "chill" eagle has landed...

There's no ‘I’ in ‘TEAM.’ There’s no ‘U’ either. It doesn’t appear the TEAM needs us, so let’s go grab a beer!Drinks
