RE: Wattage
It can do it. I have a .23 dual coil in my rdta and use it between 80 to 90 watts. It would be a pretty warm vape though.

Keep Calm and Vape On!

RE: Wattage
Regulated mods are pretty safe. They have built in protections. However if you get your cotton to dry it can pop into flames, lol.

OT: Is it the battery/batteries you need to know about when considering their resistance/voltage/amperage and not so much the mod?
I know mods have their protections and all, but say if the resistance range on a mod is .05 - 3.5 but the battery's amperage limit(even collectively) is lower than what the mod can put out, would you run into problems when you tried to vape a higher amperage than the battery(ies) allowed?

RE: Wattage
Here are some articles reguarding Ohms and Voltage settings in our FAQ Section.

... What the Heck is Ohm's Law?
... Where should I set my VV/VW mod?
... Steam Engine Ohm Calculator

100W is really too hot for .3 resistance (see calculations below). By going of 60W you may shorten the life span of your coil.

Ohm's Law : Watts = Volts * Volts / Ohms

Low End ........................................................... High End
. W = 3.7V * 3.7V / 0.3Ω ........................................ W = 4.2V * 4.2V / 0.3Ω
. W = 13.69V / 0.3Ω ............................................... W = 17.64V/ 0.3Ω
. W = 45.63 ........................................................... W = 58.8

RE: Wattage
Okay so this is why I have people who do the math for me - I was watching a few tutorials on building the Indestructible RDA and recall something about a 0.42 ohms build, @ 8.4v and Twisted 420 stating 168W....how does that math compare with the above Bibs? Sad

RE: Wattage
Math shmath..

100w on a 3.5mm i/d 316l .3 coil is light, itll be at 120+ before dry hits are likley. My cricket will hit well over that at .4 and I can chain vape on it.

You have to remember it's two coils, so it's 50w each one. Also that higher mass coils heat slower and reach much lesser temperatures in the few seconds it'll be on for.

Thanks Gently, it pleases me to see that I haven't totally lost my mind or memory - I'm running 0.72 ohms on my NC....yup, not super fast ramp-up but hits harder than anything else I have at 4x the cost....

RE: Wattage
The v/ir math is only good for non sub ohm mtl and battery load calculations imo. Thermal dynamics is the only thing that'll tell you how well your sub ohm rda will vape, and only when you understand wicking, airflow and juice interaction. Wink
Or you could just trial and error like I do Tongue
