RE: Want to Build Square Rda
I know I saw one with a square base but couldn't find an image of it or even remember the brand name....do recall thinking that it looked stupid and would never be perfectly symmetrically positioned/aligned on a mod - to my standards! Tongue

You are getting mixed up gently - it has to be a square round deck - if it was a round square deck it would not be round at all[Image: tongue.gif]and if we keep this up none of us are going to be around either - we will be taken away - in a oblong van. [Image: smile.gif]

RE: Want to Build Square Rda
There are plenty of square hollow lengths of SS stock you could cut to length to start out with, say 3/16" wall thickness. Im pretty sure round O-rings would work as well, you'd have to cut out a chanel then round the ID of the corners, once inserted the O-ring should create a nice seal.

For air maybe a 1/4" band that slides up and down vertically over holes for adjustment, that would require an O-ring as well. I'll do a quick hand drawing.

Looks like all the manufactured square RDA's are for aesthetic reasons only.

I think something round would be a good idea - and a hell of a lot easier.[Image: smile.gif] If you still wanted something different with it you could use square screws.[Image: tongue.gif]

RE: Want to Build Square Rda
Should be a fun little project.  Time consuming but doable. If you have access to a cnc machine, you could make something really epic.

On the round side of things, you could go with a monster sized deck like the 40mm Mason RDA.  Could use it or mod it to your needs.
